Is is random?

My laptop takes a bit of time to load maps, so most of the time I will join then go smoke while waiting for it to load. About half the time, when I get back, I'll already be kicked for AFK, the other half I wont.

IIRC it's a 3 minute timer for inactivity. It could just be that the server saw you join, but you were still loading and it started the countdown.

You are also able to freeze the afk on you for 15 minutes

It will only kick you if the server has more than a certain amount of player on. I believe this number is 20 for 24 slot servers and 28 for 32 slot servers (2fort some of the time)

Its a horrible idea and i hate it. I will not stop till its gone. I will get a tank and go to spidey's house and sit on him till he presses the buttons to make it stop...

You can't do that while in the process of joining a server...

He changed the time to 5 minutes I think.

Hate or like the idea, you should support it because it is good server management and it will optimize our ranks and player counts. The main use for this is the absence, and often times the presence form what I hear, of admins in the server.

The formula can be tweaked, and probably he will once he see it in action and what happens and how people adapt, I would have inched it up one on the limit, but the idea is great.

You're idle and get kicked? Rejoin. I do feel bad for Mithos, if you ask Spidey nicely I would think he might have a solution, maybe exclude your ID, though I don't know the coding possibilities to tell for sure.

I wouldnt want to be excluded, I sometimes afk for longer than intended. It's jsut annoying sometimes, thought it might be something on my end. no worries though
