If you are a huge fan of the Aliens franchise like Dutch seems to be you will probably enjoy the game (I mean I'm a huge fan of Halo and Star Wars, I haven't watched a movie or played a game of theirs that I did not like). But I'm going to post some game play videos for you guys with simple descriptions so you can see what is so very wrong (according to many people, not I, I didn't want the game to begin with lol) with this creation.
Before you spend $50 or whatever it is on this game, here are a few things you definitely should watch.
1. Human enemy AI (which supposedly are the enemies you fight for the majority of the game) not caring one bit that the player is right next to them.

2. More genius human AI, this time including you friendly units doing literally nothing.

3. Alien not reacting to any kind of interaction besides getting to close to it. Allows player to make tons of noise and even shoot it multiple times.

4. Multiple aliens doing acrobatics for your viewing pleasure as well as being generally (not) scary.

5. Walking through an ENTIRE LEVEL without preforming one attack and only being hit a few times.... Expect super engaging dialogue in this one.

very interesting grim, but i have never experienced these on hard or Badass Difficulty. When i did play soldier with some people i did notice these things happened a bit more. Its very sad that people, like the videos above trash on a game when there are worse games out there. Let's see....Warfighter's A.I was worse because they never did damage and i mean Never. I also noticed bad A.I in halo (Played up to Reach) and i also have seen bad A.I in most games.
p.s the video was mostly taken of the Console versions. The movement is what tells me its not a PC player for the movement is too slow and too rough.
Hmm walking through an entire level has also been preformed in the Crysis games with stealth, but a side from that the bots aimbot a lot on badass difficulty. I have also done this multiple times in the halo series and Call of duty. I would also like to point out that in AVP and the other alien games have had the "acrobatics" in all of them.
On a final note before i go to bed is a simple fact. If you want to play a game, never base your judgment on someone Else's opinion and or experience. Never follow the "Internet hate train" because that is what its there for. In all of my experience i have never put down a video game because it looked bad or people said it was bad. I have over 500 video games and all of which I have enjoyed, no matter how glitch or buggy it is. Heck I have come across games that don't even work at launch, user made patches had to be made because of company's do not care enough.
I'm very glad that Aliens Colonial Marines was made. I have been playing the Alien games since Sega, still have my Alien 3 cartridge.
Now I truly leave on this note, the thread has gone very off topic, but can still be saved. From this point on only post if you have the game and are looking for others to play CO-OP or Multiplayer. There are a lot of people who enjoy this game and have already made new friends from this thread. If you want to argue more about how Bad Aliens Colonial Marines I will be more then happy to hear your opinion in vent.
