First off, I'm not sure if I like having the domination/revenge thing in DoD for a number of reasons, but this is heart-warming. >.> (my name is lulzwerehad)

Anyway, I'm really digging the CoF update. I like being actually able to use the BAR/STG44 as a longer range weapon with some consitancy, so I dont really have to switch class if I want to take out a sniper. They're not rifle-accurate (which is a good thing), but they're that much more effective. My aim is generally pretty good, and its nice to have my skills rewarded more.

The total elimination of all team-blocking is just pure gold. I love the freedom of being in a tight area, seeing a nade fall at my feet, and being able to run away from danger without screaming "MOVE!" over the mic.
It also eliminates the possibility of boosting for exploits, which, while not a major issue on our servers, just makes our job that much easier.

Being able to switch classes without dying is a much-needed change as well.

The only bone I have to pick is a minor one. The CoF update also improved the pistol, which is a beautiful thing, but I almost wish that they would remove the "one-headshot" kill. Make it do 80-90 damage or something. Its really not a big issue, and some may disagree, but its just something that I think may keep it as a last-defense weapon, not approaching the status of the rocket class' carbine. I've noticed people ramboing with the thing, and I'm not sure I like that. Definitely, like I said, a minor point, but just throwing the question out there.

Anyway, thats all I can think of off the top of my head right now. Overall, I'm very impressed. They fixed a lot of old sore points, and havent gone overboard with anything.

Discuss.

I really like the new CoF, it's makes the good aimers better but the guys that use Spray&Pray lesser, i like that, no more random Tommy HS from far away.

The only thing i hate is the frictionproblems, when you strafe when using a rifle, you have to wait longer to fire where you are aiming at, but i think there is a patch to fix it already.

But in general, i like the update and i can't wait to see it lauched for real.

[/quote1212406495]I havent really noticed the rifle problem, although I havent used it that much so far. o_O

I cant wait for the skins to work though, I miss my Eotech k98 iron sight. =[

I sometimes dislike the SMGs when they are fired from a distance but are still very accurate. Maybe I'm just unlucky but thats slightly annoying. I do like that they lowered the recoil on the garand though.

I dont really enjoy the beta to much just yet, I think the upgrades to the Graphics have tipped the scale where my computer is crying to play it on high, thank goodness for my new computer, which should be here soon.

Btw, you could always switch classes without dying. It's in options, Suicide after choosing player class or something to that effect.

the thing i don't like and i don't think it is on all servers, but when you die it shows you exactly where the person is that killed you. i think that kind of defeats the purpose of having a good spot to hold a position or objective.

yea i know what you mean shorty... that is annoying.. but then again a lot of times in the non beta game the camera follows the direction of the player for a few seconds after you die showing you not only direction the kill came from but also where they might be going!! i use this too my advantage.

You gotta move around. Most of the time they can see where you are anyway. I would almost always move after I killed a few people if I was covering something. If they're any good at all they're coming back with nades, and you better not be in the same spot you were last time. That hasnt changed a bit. You just gotta move.
