Yea, The scramble vote just never works when it matters, I've never seen a group of over 10 successfully get a scramble. My advice to pubs getting rolled is usually to get rolled some more. Also, many people never figure out that !sausage is the command. I can spam this information all I want, but people will STILL try (and convince all of their friends to try) to type !scramble. Cuz we're having a breakfast buffet up in here.
Also, I don't want to be like antagonistic, but Kiririn, I really doubt that your experience can be extrapolated to most people's on the server. You're top 10 on our servers in just a few months of playing. Most long-time players will have difficulty doing that sort of thing, let alone most pubs. I know that I, probably about the level of the poor random pub nub, am nowhere near the level of skill possessed by (as it turns out) every other person in this thread. I can't deal with 3 engis on dustbowl, or 3 heavy medic teams, or whatever unless I have the right team to back me up. And I don't really feel bad about it, that's just how it is for me. I can see where class limits would help in some such situations.
ALL of that said, dear goodness I also despise class limits. Although it can be very frustrating to play against a cheap team or play with a horribly composed team, if my team doesn't have the wherewithal to work together or choose a useful class, we were probably going to lose anyway. I think class limits limit the amount of creativity and randomness that I really like in casually playing TF2, and it would be a shame to prevent that. Ultimately, limits just aren't fun when I'm not trying to be serious. And really, since I'm no better when I'm serious, there's really just no point in not having fun.
Good god I wrote a book. Sorry. Cookies for all.
