eGO Beginner Competitive Team

Puke-N-Snot, I think that's exactly my point. Comp TF2, more than just the culture and the actual competitiveness, is almost just like a different game mode. You have different settings, there are different rules, and the format and gameplay are just different. Callouts, rollouts, and strats are all things that come with time and practice - and they differ from team to team.

If people here want to actually get into comp and look for a team, that's awesome and I'd love to see you guys do it. I just really want to try to start playing HL or 6v6 with people who aren't going to yell at me if I miss shot. It's not about winning or playing on a team for me, I'd just like to try out something in TF2 that I've never gotten the chance to get into. I know that other people are like me, and I just think it'd be cool if we all got together to try.

So, before I get ahead of myself again, why don't we just set a day and time where some of us can meet up in Vent, get in a lobby, and just play some?

I dunno hEY, if its him, another him and 8 clones of him that's 50 stars total. Which is 250% higher than the suggested daily star intake!


On a more related note, a beginner-tier competitive team sounds like a great idea.

Hey, so I've started contacting people who have mentioned they might be interested. If I haven't talked to you yet, and you want to kind of be involved, please add me on steam (http://steamcommunity.com/id/xtchsbrlx/) or PM on the forums. It would be even better if you could answer these questions for me:

1)Explain your general interest, or what would you ideally hope to see out of this idea. Do you just want to casually play lobbies with who ever is on? Do you want to first try out the format and then maybe see if getting more serious is appropriate? Or do you just wanna buckle down and start seeing some practices and tournament prep?

2)When are you generally free. Weekends? Weekdays? Times WITH time zone please?

3)Preferred format (6s or Highlander) + preferred classes


If you tell me more things, I may be more inclined to call you back after the first date.

1 For right now just an introduction to competitive play. If I get hooked then progressing from there.
2 I'm available after 8pm PST and sporadically during the day. Can probably schedule around something consistent.
3 Never played competitive so no preference.
