I think we need something wacky like a, minigame rotation server. Yes cp and ctf are fun but it gets how you say.. repetitive. Gotta mix things up.

Haha, so.. I had the TF2 development commentary played to me unwittingly yesterday (which was actually quite great). And it made me want to play Hydro again. Really, we just need more territory control maps..

But anyway... quickplay doesn't activate for non-valve maps, but it also doesn't cancel it for a server if a non-valve map is played occasionally. Which doesn't really change anything.. why am I still talking?

Territory control reminds me the most of actual cooperative war-fare. But I understand why they only made one, it is hard to make tc......Constant changing of which point you are attacking defending with different routes to get to each, it is incredibly hard to balance out each route and area surrounding point for each class to have decent use.

I tried one time to make a tc once.....so hard. But why am I still talking?

As brilliant of a map as Hydro is, there's no quickplay for it. (which is odd since Doomsday has quickplay despite being the only map for 1 game mode like Hydro) And again, without QP, it'll be extremely hard to fill the server.

I really hope Valve puts Hydro on QP. You can tell during the dev. commentary on the map that they really put a lot of hard work into it and hoped it would be played a lot.

Warpath and Convoy are custom maps and thus not quick play friendly. Only maps made by Valve and custom maps made official by Valve are allowed, with some exceptions.http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Maps

I knew about the "approved" maps restriction. That's how Egypt and Steel got in. But Warpath and Convoy are not "approved"? :O

Rik, we have a whole server for payload and half the time VM is payload too. I love badwater as much as the next guy, but MOAR PAYLOADZORS!!!!11! isn't what we need.

I was speaking with some others today and we agreed that it would be nice to have a Turbine, Egypt, and Black Mesa server where the maps were all on rotation.

Either that or put them in with Valve Maps. I want to play them! And we should defs throw them in one or two of our servers when they release!
