Bad Company 2 BC2 Locking up

BC2 is far from the most complex, hardest game on my machine. That being said, I had BC2 lock up / freeze three times tonight. Anyone else having issues of late?

I got an update of the Razer game accelerator, which now cuts off the microphone for Ventrilo. I can hear but not speak, and it doesn't appear on the list of programs or operations affected, but I haven't had any issues related to freezing or locking outside of everyone's issues back when no capital letters were allowed.

I have had several 'lock ups",eg: flying a chopper screen freezes,can still hear the game going on in the background,mouse doesn't work,ESC doesn't work & sometimes the good ol' three fingered salute (ctrl+alt+delete) doesn't work.I either have to restart my system or wait a few minutes,its either something is updating or running while you're playing.

I MAY have found a fix for BF:BC2 game lock ups\freezes. Try disabling Windows Update { Turn OFF AUTOMATIC UPDATES}.I have played several nights now without any problems.
