How I came to play on eGO servers and join Edge Gamers...
I was a big WoW player, so much so that I rarely played other games(some due to WoW, some due to my comp not handling them). Well when I got this computer that I am now on I started trying out a few other games. A guildmate in my WoW clan kept talking about how fun TF2 beta was(this was like 2 days into open beta, where if you preordered The Orange Box you got to play TF2 before release). I decided I had pretty much every other STEAM game so preordered the box. Started playing TF2 with him on a couple random servers, then he connected to the eGO server(can't remember if there was only one at the time or not). Shortly after that it was added to my short list of favorite servers(like 4 in total), and shortly after that the other favorites got removed.
Well unlike several of the members I didnt join the eGO community right away. What attracted me to playing here: On my first night playing here a player went off on another player with lots of foul language over the mic. One of the admins present(IIRC it was Drunken Sailor) told this guy to cool it and that that typoe of language wasnt allowed here. When that player then proceeded to tell the admin where to get off he was immediately removed. That shocked me as I had been on many a server where admins just took the abuse from players. I was hooked and added the server to my favorites. Then a few days later I saw someone throw out the website address(OUr loveable Baron Rojo). I wrote it down and the next day took a look around, joined the forums like a day after that, but didnt actually post anything yet, just wanting to have access to the forums at the time. I still wasnt sure I wanted to join Edge Gamers, but little did I know they were slowly brainwashing me
into joining. So right after TOB released I applied to be an =(e)=, as Baron was really working on me that evening. So I applied and went back into the server to let him know I had applied and to get him off my back(nothing but love Baron), and as some know was promoted to eG very fast(like 6 days) and was made eGO about 8 days or so after that.
I havent looked back since joining and love this community. We have had our share of growing pains, but they are to be expected. I am honored to have been chosen to be an advisor here, and to have been asked to help run the CoD4 side of things alongside some great guys here on the TF2 side of things. Edge Gamers will rule the gaming world someday if I have anything to say about it.
I want to thank Kendle, JohnT, Artimus, Slayr, and the others that started Edge Gamers and let them know I really appreciate what you guys have done here and want to help grow this amazing thing you guys have worked so hard on, to even greater heights than it already is. And to the rest of you guys/gals, keep up the great attitudes that you have as you are what makes this community GREAT!

About a year ago a friend of mine showed me a game and I was facinated by the sniper and I asked where he got the game and he said Steam. I played GameSpy for a while then I went to steam. I asked my dad to buy me the game for 10 bucks he was fine with it.
After buying it and installing it I needed a name so I went with Drunk Baby (Strange I know) then I went to servers with the lowest ping. But they were all Korean servers. I was mad so then after trial and error of finding US servers I found that all servers on the West coast were about 160-200 Ping and the East Coast was 200-300.
Then I found an eGO server I believe it was also Donner. And I was asked by I think Red Shift to go join up. I was unable to find my thread but I still have the signature for Drunk Baby.
I believe Walmart made this for me.
Well after about 3-4 months I just played. It was hard to play a lot with other players because the time difference was amazingly different. And my computer was a Dell XPS 410 (I know ewww).
On my birthday I received loads of money from family and friends! (I think about 350 bucks). Then on a Korea Holiday Choosok (You get cash) I got MORE money and I had saved money from baby sitting, clean house, etc. I had enough cash to buy parts for my new computer. I got the new computer and with a little help from parents and rich Grandparents.
I never got promoted in DoD:S Side of eGO! But that was fine I loved sniping people in the face just for the fun of it!
Then the Houses were made! I had so many choices DAM, FL, Jones! So after seeing who went to which houses I followed SugaFree and went to Jones. I had alot of fun, but i never attended a scrim.
Then I heard that we were getting a sister clan for eGO for Team Fortress 2. I remembered playing Fortress Forever and TFC and i enjoyed them both. So I was like ahh what the heck!
But i didnt want the Orange Box I just wanted TF2 and Portal. I simply hate Half Life. I got them both and I went to the eGO TF2 website and made a recruiting thread. http://edgegamers.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?4292
Then I really didn't like the name Drunk Baby so I decided to go with Volcom because when I lived in Hawaii I wanted to get sponsored by Volcom even though i wasn't any good compared to the others. So i went with Volcom.
Then after I believe a week I was promoted to eG. It was a cruel way of promoting people. For people who aren't eG's they wont beable to see it so I'll make it again.

Mine's not that spectacular. Day of Defeat, I got bored of idiots, and every day I'd play on a different server. One day I hit an eGO, never went to another server since.

So, I looked for Dustbowl 24/7 server, and I saw ego's servers and they advertised this clan. So, I came to forums and joined.

In 1997 my brother hooked me onto a game called "Quake World TF" (this is basically the 2fort map that everyone knows today). This was the very first PC game I owned, not soon after I got the game they released QuakeGL patch that allowed better graphics by using a "Monster 3D" video card (Voodoo 1 card), state of the art back then...lol. Then Half Life was released and of course "Team Fortress Classic", this created a problem for me, I was hardcore addicted and soon was running a server from my house on a seperate PC, at the time there was no cable internet, I was fortunate enough to have access to SDSL at a hefty monthly cost but it was worth it. I was able to support 24 clients, I had to set up the server in my basement because of the 24 hour noise of the cooling fans about set my wife into a freenzy...lol. I then created a clan (LTK License To Kill) and we had about 60 members and climbed the ladder on the OGL to about #4 and of course as time went by so did the desire for people to play TFC. Being tired of all the numerous cheats, hacks and horrible clan servers, I gave up on TFC and removed it from my PC and decided to wait for TF2 which I knew would be released some day and here is where I am today, once again addicted. I am old school from the day Team Fortress first was released and 2fort was the first map that started it all and that is why you will notice I tend to play in the 2fort server the most.
My old neighbor from when I lived in NY would come over on weekends or just about any chance he got and we would put away hours and many beers playing TFC into the wee hours of the night, that player is known to you all as "Zoomer", funny how we sit 1500 miles away and 10 years later and here we are back at it again, in the same clan and still laughing to each other during game play. Back in the day we did not have voice chat we had to install a lame horrible sounding program called "Roger Wilko", some of you old timers remember that....lol. I never played DoD or any other PC game nor do I plan on it, I can not get addicted to anymore games, this is it for me.

Well, I got DoD:S early last year. I was just server hopping at the time, and I just wanted to play the game (I wasn't too interested in clans because of the dedication you have to put into it). I looked around for low ping servers, and I found 24/7 Ava. My name back then was Ero-Sennin. I liked the servers a lot, but I didn't want to join a clan. I got bored of DoD:S (not a big WWII FPS fan). So, fastforward to before the release of the OB. I pre-ordered the game a week early and I happened to stumble across a TF2 eGO server. I was a little hesitant at first, but I made the right decision and joined the clan.
When I bought DoD:S I was pure n00b material. No knowledge of FPS whatsoever. At the time my computer wasn't as great so some of the servers didn't work for me. Updated some stuff and the first server that fitted my server settings was a 24/7 Donner server hosted by eGO. I didn't even know that there were more than one admin on the server and thought that they changed they're names(A big lol). I was hooked from there when I met Bigbird(Old eGO). Great guy and he gave me the impression that this was a good clan since I've already checked out the website but not doing anything else. So then I kept playing and playing and decided that since I only play on this server, why not join. I suppose I was a regular on the servers then since on my recruiting post a lot of people said: "About Time!" After that I got acquainted with other members.
Then came TF2. I wanted the orange box but being a kid with parents wanting straight A's out of me I had to actually WRITE a persuasion letter(OMG). Hooked on TF2 now.
For getting good grades on last semester I was awarded with CoD4. My parents just said wait for us to get you a new graphics card and you'll be set. Life story!

After the release of Orange Box, I only played HL2:Episode Two (frustrating), and Portal (hooked). It took a couple of weeks that I started playing TF2, just jumping form server to server, not playing on a regular basis, just wondering about the classes and gameplay. It was one saturday night (I think), after browsing the low ping severs I found the 2fort eGO server showing *Recruiting*, so I gave it a try.

Not much to my story...
I came to a eGO server i'd say a day or 2 after i bought the orange box, (which i bought the same day it came out) but took forever to get a signal to DL, (i know alot of you went through that)
The server was pretty cool but i kept bouncing back and forth from server to server and just decided to stick with this one. People that were there were cool, and to be honest, i was one of those people that didn't like servers with rules, but i went with it. Then i signed up and got to know a lot of you more and then it really got fun! Best clan i've ever been in and i don't think any other clan could ever beat the exp and community.
P.S.: Must say thanks to council for the failed attempt to scare me to be promoted to eGO a while ago (talking to you mop...)

Was a Kettle player/admin a while back. met some old KK members who told me about eGO's servers. Haven't looked back, and want to thank them again for pointing out these servers.

I joined the DOD:S Division, then I saw like a thread saying, There's going to be a TF2 Clan.
And they made a forum.
I registered on the forums even though I don't have TF2. Because I know...I KNOW....I"M GOING TO BUY TF2..
Then, now. I'm an plain ol' eG..

I think I've played on the DOD:S servers before in the past (not a lot) so I knew the EGO name from that. I saw the TF2 servers pop up so I jumped on. I could never really get into DOD:S though.
