So many of you know that I have a lot of keys.

I want to hold a Raffle for about 20 keys

I'm thinking of doing a eGO only raffle, only 1 key to get a entry (you can get as many entries as you want)

Looking for some feedback from y'all

Why do we need to use keys, to be in the running for more keys? I would just use the key to open some of my chests and not risk loosing my key.

You'd lose your key anyway opening a crate, unless you got an unusual outta it or a nice unbox, it'd be the same. But here you have a chance to make 1 key into 20

I dislike the concept of gambling. Contests and giveaways are one thing, but I ain't going to spend money on the unlikely chance of getting more.

Agreed. We appreciate the generous raffle, but I don't think most of us would want to take a chance like that. Plus, I am and have been broke TF2-wise for quite a while.

I vowed to never participate in f2p economy back when I left for cs, even though though I'm back... still noope.

I really like this idea actually. I personally haven't spent money on keys, but I do have one in my possession (through trading) and I would definitely do this, even just for fun.

However one addendum if I may. Let's say only 10 people entered the raffle, then one guy could spend $25 dollars to buy 10 entries and have a fifty- fifty shot at doubling his money. seems like it could be taken advantage of.

Your idea might work better if you did something smaller let's say a simple craft hat as an entry and the pay out was 20 craft hats. However I have no experience in this field.

I think keys are really dangerous. Because, you have about .4% to get a unusual and the rest you might just get:
a) A strange weapons you might not even want in the first place (i.e. crit-a-cola)
b) You get a strange part, which is actually worth less than the key
c) A hat
and all this for the price of a key which you can instead get some ref and trade your way up to unusuals / stranges of your liking

Nah. I wouldn't pay a key for a raffle.

....now if I knew I was the only person who bought one, that would be a different story.

I guarantee you this idea would not pass Council. The only way you could do this would be to use something like scrap metal. Scrap cannot be purchased, it can oly be crafted from free item drops. The problem is keys have a distinct monetary value. As such, this "raffle" would be seen as gambling (and rightly so), and is therefore against eGO policy. There's a reason we don't have Casino Cash anymore; or the casino even. And it's not cuz I pwnd Artimus.

As Idol explained, you wouldn't be able to host a raffle that involves monetary value.

Locking thread since discussion pretty much ends with that.
