Counter-Strike: Source The Status of CS:S Office

Well, after all of the feedback I've received and especially after Cheezy's comment, I have actually came to the decision that we do need move on. I'm sorry, but everything stated here has made me realize as a whole that yes, Source may be finally dead now and we truly do need to move to GO. As off today, I'm calling off the activities on Office and will now be focusing on filling Jail. I'm sorry to all that this post will cause many to possibly hate me, but I finally do agree that it is the time to move on.

I may still be active on Italy from time to time, but I'll mainly be focusing my efforts into Jail. I'd encourage all who helped with Office instead come and help here because if Jail fails, then the CS division is truly doomed. Thank you all for the help, but please do the right thing for the division and come to GO (and not just spend your time on competitive all day.)

Well. I will still play CS:S because I suck too much on GO.. haha !
Also, I don't even know how to play JAIL
so.. see you around..

And this is why I pretty much only lurk the forums every now and then. This division refuses to move on. I've been saying for over a year now that we need to move out of CS:S and into CS:GO and frankly I got tired of saying it.

Lets talk about CS:S. The CS:S Dust2 server is only #5 because there is just a lack of other Dust2 populated servers (or servers in general) in CS:S (in the US). Beyond that, CS:S is dead. There is no ifs or buts, there is no more new players moving into CS:S. Everyone is moving into CS:GO. Look at the numbers people. This is why many of the people I've met originally here, have moved on. This isn't the same division I joined 2 years ago. Everything has changed; I have changed as well. If this division isn't going to adapt and evolve, I guess it's my turn to move on as well.

This isn't a goodbye post. I'll still be lurking the forums every now and then (just to see if anything really changes), but if not, I wish you guys (and this division) luck. Feel free to ask me if you need help on something though. You know my steam name.

- Cheezyshooter

Bye.

Because of the change of goals and to prevent any further splitting up of those who remain in the division, I wish to see this thread closed.

Don't ever back down from your ideas. They are your ideas. Defend yourself. You should be able to tell your ideas to Artimus face to face and be confident in doing so. If your ideas failed, you learn from your failure. Every genius has experienced failure. Failures push you to be better next time.

Our community is not for everyone. Wherever we choose to go, we will upset people. That's the downside to being Leadership. Chances are when you make changes, people will always get upset. Leadership is trained to dissipate the negative energy that resolves from changes. I can not definitely say where we will and will not go, but it would be silly for Leadership to ignore the potential CS:GO traffic we can stamp our brand on, starting with this CS:GO Jail server.

At the same time, Leadership can not do it all. It's on all of us to get our foot in the CS:GO door. Once we substantiate that server with our ideas we've been talking about, we can get more servers. This is a team effort. Again, even if you do not play Jail, I implore you to help us fill our CS:GO server.

I wasn't saying that I was giving up on the filling goals I wished to establish. Instead, I was stating that, since this thread was initially meant for CS:S Office, I wished to see it closed and then start a new one focusing on Jail. No way in hell would I ever give up on this division and forsake its future. I, for one, absolutely love Jail and will happily fill/seed it constantly. I love CS:S, but we need to turn more towards GO. Who knows? We may eventually hit a gold mine of a server that is more successful than Dust_2 at its peak?!

its has been serveral days with office sitting at 0 people. it would be nice for people to play it more. i get sick of italy and dust
