How to Play: In TTT, three different roles are randomly assigned to players each round: Innocent, Detective, Traitor.
  • Innocents: Your job is to roam the map and try to spot a player committing a traitorous act (shooting players, killing, etc.), and kill all of the traitors you spot, while not killing any other innocents. When all traitors have been killed, innocents win the round!
  • Detective: Your goal as detective is to assist the innocents in hunting down the traitors using various tools and methods to ensure Innocent victory.
  • Traitors: Your job is to assassinate every innocent without being caught by other players. When all innocents have been killed, traitors win the round!

Follow your assigned role, and have fun!

All TTT rules are enforced by our [admins]'s at their discretion - if you have a problem or a concern with how a situation is being handled or need clarification on a rule, please contact a member of CS leadership or use the DropBox on the forums. Our rules are designed to create and maintain fun and fair gameplay.

eGO Server Rules
  1. No foul, degrading, or racist remarks.
  2. No inappropriate or disrespectful sprays or names.
  3. All sprays and avatar icons used on eGO servers should be PG-13 rated. No nudity is allowed. Final decisions on what is acceptable are left up to the admins in the server.
  4. No drug references in names, chat or sprays.
  5. No cheating, cheat scripts, barrier jumping, map exploits or hacks of any kind.
  6. No griefing
  7. No advertising in servers.
  8. No names or sprays that advocate or oppose a political figure, political stance, religion or nation.
  9. No website URLs in names, sprays or avatars.
  10. No impersonating admins.
  11. Do not disrupt the server in any way.
  12. Admins have final say in server.

TTT General Rules
  1. Do not Random Death Match (RDM) fellow players. You need sufficient evidence proving that a player is a traitor to kill them.
  2. Do not ghost - Giving out any information about the game to alive players while you are dead using any method of communication.
  3. Do not influence the vote.
  4. No Prop Killing.
  5. Do not door spam.
  6. Do not prop surf or glitch on any map.
  7. Do not kill rule-breakers or seek revenge - only shoot in self-defense and not for previous rounds reasons.
  8. No claiming rooms or areas.
  9. Must have a name identifiable by all players on the server.
  10. Must move out/away from a player's personal space after being reasonably told at-least twice by said player. This player must give a reasonable amount of time for the encroaching player to move away.
  11. Anyone can taze anyone without asking for permission.
  12. Committing a Traitor Act makes you a traitor.
  13. Do not accuse people publicly in chat or over mic about RDM. Simply report it to admins using team chat follow by the @ symbol.

Detective Rules:
  1. The Detective must actively fulfill the role of a detective and assist the team as needed.
  2. May not random-death-match (RDM) - cause damage or kill innocents or detectives unless acting in self defense (includes using map objects).
  3. May not present a player as a traitor without a valid reason.
  4. May not kill a player for disobeying orders.
  5. Detectives need 1 DNA scan on a dead innocent body or 1 on a detective body before calling a Kill on Sight (KOS) on a player.
  6. Knife kill DNA scans are considered a means for calling a KOS on a player.

Innocent Rules:
  1. May not random-death-match (RDM) - cause damage or kill innocents or detectives unless acting in self defense (includes using map objects).
  2. May not present a player as a traitor without a valid reason.
  3. May not traitor bait - Making it look like you are a Traitor when you're actually an Innocent.
  4. May not camp and must be actively playing the game. It delays the round and causes players to not enjoy their time on the server.

Traitor Rules:
  1. Traitors must work together in order to complete their objective.
  2. Traitors must actively attempt to complete the objective.
  3. May not kill or damage other Traitors unless acting in self defense (includes using map objects).
  4. Claiming you are a traitor to everyone without prior knowledge is considered griefing. Don’t do it.

Definitions:

Random Death Match (RDM)

(RDM) When an innocent or a detective damages or kills another player for:
  • An illogical reason.
  • No reason.
  • Assumptions based on how a player moves and talks.
  • Throwing grenades away from other players.
  • Disobeying an order.
  • Pointing a gun at someone.

Traitor Acts
  • Shooting around or towards other players, unless for self defense.
  • Throwing frag or fire grenades around or towards other players, unless for self defense. (Throwing Flashes or smokes are NOT Traitorous acts.)
  • Declaring KOS order on an innocent.
  • Planting bombs (C4) or detonating the jihad vest.
  • Actively tailing other players with explosive items.
  • Blatantly ignoring or leaving bodies unidentified.
  • Damaging or killing players using weapons or map objects, unless for self defense
  • Being Inside of Traitor Areas/Rooms

Miscellaneous Rules

  • Traitor Weapons are NOT a means for a KOS. They spawn on maps and can be picked up by other players.
  • Chasing a player with a knife or a taser is NOT means for a KOS. Furthermore, evading a taser is NOT means for a KOS.
  • Admins hold the right to take any action deemed necessary in order to maintain server stability.
    [*]CS Leadership decisions are final

Out of Map Areas

There are several maps that can be exploited by going out of bounds. This is not allowed. Any area that is not reachable by normal means is considered Out of Bounds. Or an area that gives the player an advantage in the game. Here are a few examples of some Out of Bounds areas you should be on the lookout for.

  • Skyscraper: Dropping to the ground before the round starts and hiding on the wall/butted up next to it so that you live and can't be killed is not okay.
  • Teenroom: Using the VHS tape to glitch on top of the Posters is not allowed. Also, getting on top of the windowsill in any way, shape or form is still not allowed.
  • Apehouse: Getting on the roof of the main-building, whether by prop-surfing, or jumping on top, is not allowed. This also includes the small roof on left side when facing the front of the main building. However, the roof on the right hand side is NOT considered a map exploit, as it brings no tactical advantage for players.

Exploiting the maps does not mean that the player is KOS.

How we Admin on TTT
  • Admining will only occur at the end of the round or upon the death of the RDMer, and ONLY if the correct procedure is followed for reporting RDMs.
  • To report RDM simply report it to admins using team chat follow by the @ symbol. Please let the admins know who it was that RDM'd you so that they can properly investigate.

Rules may be changed by CS Leadership at their discretion without any notice at all. Remember, TTT is dynamic and sometimes decisions need to be made. This is a guide, please use common sense when it comes to interpretation of these rules.
