At the risk of falling prey (pun intended) to the carnies out there... are there any other vegans here in eGO land?

Total vegan here! I don't come across many others down here where I'm from. But, I was telling delrio about the joys of tofurky just the other day. Not many other foods as fun to say as tofurky! :)

I think it's good to know a vegan, 'cause they can point you to some good recipe ideas, but good lord I don't think I could survive without meat in my diet.

I've really been trying to go the path of vegan, but I'm telling ya, it's tough :P

Eat more vegetarians.

I mean, erm...

Yeah, I'm not vegan at all. I'm way far from it. I could never live without burgers. And steak. And those delicious Edwards Hall buffalo chicken wraps. Mmmmm.

But yeah. What Blacky said above me. :D

I'm in love with the hickory smoked sandwich slices. They = heaven for me.

Glad to see other vegans on the forums!

I was raised by a texan, so i was used to eating steak, bacon and eggs, gravy, etc etc. I started working for greenpeace and got privy to a lot more information that the public knows so it was an easy choice then but it definitely still has it's hard moments.

Seriously though, cheeseless pizza tastes BETTER than regular pizza, you omnis need to give it a try.

There's no such thing as a native Texan vegan.

Second that!! (I was born in OK, but have lived in Texas for the past 14 years) Meat is an integral part of a human diet. Thats where muscles come from. LOL

There are no native parrots in California either, but a flock of them squawks outside my window in the mornings. Perhaps it is a similar thing? Pets brought into the state and then allowed to breed in the wild?
