HEAVY FTW!!

i myself enjoy an eng on that map xD or demoman.. then again i like to play with the eng all the time xD

I like warpath, my biggest complaint on that map is i usually end up stuck playing as engineer.
i so hate playing engineer!

I've been playing the new 32-man Warpath a lot the last couple days and I muss say that despite the increased numbers I fear it is losing what it used to have. The strategy, teamwork, and camraderie has been replaced by spam, stalemates, and people complaining about too many snipers. I find it odd that a server that was working so great and was the epitome of what this clan is about had to be changed. Now we're losing some of our dedicated members and pubs because they have no interest in walking into walls of bullets, demospam, and rockets. But, I suppose the Team in Team Fortress referred to the number of people and not the quality of play.

I kinda understand what your saying Kap'in Kang a roo :) but its a bit early for me to tell yet, yesterday because of the scrim and admin class I didnt have a lot of time to play on warpath, mores the pity, however I will gauge it the next few days.. it will be a shame if we lose what we are all hankering for.. its been fracking great lately and I just adore the team work with the regulars that play there..

being a spy is much more difficult in a 32, but i love a good challenge

I was noticing that too. Now there are always 3-4 engineers, which makes it a pain to sapper and go on a stabbing spree.

Sadly, I'm beginning to agree with Kaptain, sure the wait time is less, but at what cost!

I have to agree with Kaptain K and Voltaire. The teamwork is gone and has been replaced by teams made up of 4 demos, 4 engineers, and 4 snipers each leading to mostly stalemates. After a couple hours of nothing but stalemates, I eventually just quit. It was my favorite map and my favorite server, but so far the increase has managed to sap all of that away. Two 24 man Warpath servers would have been a much better alternative than to change a formula that already worked.

I used to hate Warpath with a passion.. until I found out how ungodly unbalanced Sniper is on it... now its my favorite map... and the only map I play on anymore. I love the teamwork on Warpath, one team can go from barely holding the last point and then ten minutes later at the other teams 2nd last point pushing their final one. Soooo much fun. :D

I hate to say it because i feel so fickle by changing my mind, but i agree with kaptain, I used to love warpath, but so much is going on with spamming and such, its almost impossible to coordinate or anything. Im seriously considering just going to a new server.
I dont know how i survived on 32 player warpath before...maybe i was just blinded of 24 slots greatness by the change.

Agree with the others about 32 players.. at first I was really happy cause there's no more waiting.. but once you play it's just spam, die, die from spam, spam some more.. the coordinated attacks are pretty much gone and communication is lower on either side MOST of the time. was thinking in between of 24 and 32 would be beneficial, 28.

This isn't an issue of their being bad eggs. Lots of people still do communicate and there are plenty of admins in there. It's just that the increase in slots has led to the breakdown of the game and an increase of spam. I don't see anything in your thread that suggests a manner in which to fix this.

Well David suggested to me earlier, why don't we make it 28 players, a nice little compromise in the middle.

hmm, sad to say, i was excited to have 32 slots but it turns out like this:

I played from 7:30 to 12:30 am and we had like 5 stalemates that lasted at least an 45 minutes each.

Bottlenecks are horrible. I think 24 was alot better. More space and more strategy. Although the waiting time to join was longer. There is not much solutions to this, we keep it like that, we go back to waiting in queues to join at 24 slots.

I will opt for the waiting time in queue.
