Hey guys,

So I know there were a lot of logistic problems with the tournament in the past but I also thought it was really fun and exciting, despite the problems. What if we were able to have a discussion on improving the experience? Would anyone be down for another?

Some problems that I either heard or observed myself:

1) People not showing up for their time slot
2) A lot of people present just watching and waiting to get their chance
3) A day of duels would take a long time
4) Took more than one day to complete

We could just simply forfeit those that apply to play, but are absent and continue with the bracket.

Are we able to hold several duels at the same time? (with multiple refs/observers)

We could record each match so that they can be viewed later or used as evidence of the outcome.

These are just some thoughts and ideas, but perhaps this discussion has already happened. Either case, let me know!

Those were some of the observations I made as well. I wasn't a fan of Anzio as a map choice either (and I was the one who made it). I think the easiest solution to these issues would be to choose a much smaller map and maybe lower the kill count to 3 (but then matches would be too short I think). Eliminating the people who don't show up is also a thing we did when we did the event as a midweek event. Multiple matches at the same time is possible, but may be tricky to do because we only have one server to work with.

I definitely want to host another one sometime. There was definitely interest enough to get a pretty big bracket.

I'd suggest allowing players to select a weapon of their choice of course without mg or sniper. Kalt no sewers for map is ideal. Good balance of rifle and auto spots.

Definitely would like to see a Boyle stg44 v Shifty carbine matchup!

It would be an honor :)

Now we just need a date and time stewie - I'll bring the popcorn

I'll Show up for this (on time) and give shift a run for his money!! HAHA J/K I don't stand a chance against him!

However, I will say map makes a difference! If all things being equal, a good flat map would be idea in this, with random gun at start of each kill(obviously no MG or sniper in random) for both parties, each having same weapon.

I'm on pacific coast time but a Saturday morning in July would be perfection. Now whose with me?!?! *charging with a sword*

Saturday afternoons are not too great for me (realism time-slot) as I am in the thick of care taking for my child. But, if a date and time-frame is locked in, I would make some time for it!

I gotchu, if you guys decide to do another one, Tech can help you guys in this department ;)

Also you guys can also venture into look into a custom map that is built for 1v1 or an orange map that is super tiny, that would also work /myinput

Anyways, I'm back to my dungeon

Go away stealth, we don't need your kind around here I have a Zero for that.

If theres not enough interest in a 1v1 tournament why not consider making it "2 headed giant" so teams of 2 going against each other. This might show more promise for the players who dont think they are good enough to go 1v1 but teamwork goes a long way.
