Battlefield 4 BF4 Lockers Rules and Suggestions/Ideas

It's often said that a picture is worth a thousand words.

May I recommend taking some aerial pictures of the key sections of the map that applies to your server rule. Mark spots, highlight areas, and vector waypoint arrows of what is considered "Red Zone", "Uncap", "illegal travel", "off limit areas of Echo mountain", and etc. Submit them to eGO Leaders for their review and approval for post here for all to learn.

What counts as redzone/illegal travel are the areas of which your screen fades and you have a countdown timer of when you'll be killed. Uncaps generally refers to the redzone, though it can also apply to both spawns. As per the echo mountain and the spawn beacon glitch, that I could agree on for the image.

Good morning, afternoon, or evening to you all.

Thank you Falco_GL, your additional example above regarding "Red Zone & illegal travel" brings more clarity for anyone attempting to interpret the written rules.

To further extend my goodwill to this cause in hopes to improve the awareness and experience to all players on this server, I’ll offer my time to partner with an appointed person by eGO Leaders to produce such pictorial slides. I have in the past used the Spectator-mode in free-flight to take screenshots which I later added Location-Callouts labels on Microsoft Powerpoint to aid squad/team gameplay.

Wishing you all find a moment of fun this weekend!

Cheers
Buzzup.

This is up for interpretation by the admins as the final rule of eGO is admins have the final say on rules, but this should be a good guideline:

I hope this helps a bit.

Thats a good start Majeye but is a little misrepresenting what some of the areas allowed and not allowed. I have some we did from defining them for leadership ill see if i can find. For everyone else the uncap is also called the main spawn base which is also the redzone area for enemy teams. On both ends in the snow there is a ledge which designates the uncaps and should not be fired into or entered by foot. This also includes at A side the upper ledges along the uncap line on the mountain because players cannot get there from the enemy side without going through the redzone into the uncaps. EA Dice has allowed many of the snow ledges from B to A open for play which they used to be in the redzone but now arent. From snow C to B that is not allowed to jump down in the snow pit or redzone there. The big one also is from C to D snow to helopad or mountain is not allowed. Players can walk up the entrance ways in snow but cannot go about that. As for D entrance at the helopad that entranceway top and ledge to the right is allowed in play by our rules. The snow cliffs by D and E entranceways snow the ledges equal to the top of the entranceways are allowed but higher than that is glitching. The mountain at C entranceway is not allowed. The ledge above B entrance way is allowed along with going up in to the rock above it. Hopefully this answers some questions for folks

So far on this thread, I noticed lots of feedback and suggestions directed towards eGO for a better gaming experience. How about guest players like myself take a moment and look into the mirror. Whenever I play on eGO's Operation Locker or on someone else's server, I often try to remind myself that I am a guest. Somewhat like going to someone's home for a party, play ball on a court/field or hunt on land that I don't have ownership...There is an etiquette for being a guest. I often remind myself while I play that... It's their house, their rules, and don't matter if it's written or social.

I hope guest players like myself will consider exercising some of the basic etiquettes and ethics that govern our better judgement which we learned during Kindergarten. Sometimes even though there are things I could do or could say, my personal ethics tell me not to. Remember Kindergarten taught us that doing something wrong doesn’t make it right because the other kid did it first. Last night, I witnessed guest players being rude with racial remarks. Although this guest player was not the instigator, his temperament exploded with the most toxic remarks in the game chat. Thanks to the Admin-on-duty for addressing while I just had fun playing. Thank you Admin-on-duty for working behind the scenes with your warnings. Thank you SneakyGoat06 for having that touch of class!

I would like to add on the "Please do not go out of bounds or through redzone to advance position" rule. This would be kind of more for admins, but also players who sees a situation like this. A situation I have in mind, that I've saw in the server myself multiple times before was where someone had redzoned to advance position and came back into the playing field, and then ends up on the very ledge on the playing field next to the redzone. A squad member then spawns on the person who just got out of the redzone and as s/he spawns--they don't spawn on the ledge with the person who just redzoned, they slip off or spawn in the air and drop down into the redzone. For admins, please use your best judgement before kicking the person who spawned and slipped off unintentionally, you can tell if it was accidental or if they are trying to redzone to advance position. If they stay down there and die by the 10 second counter and not even try to get back up, or even better yet suicide before the 10 second timer is up, and not trying to advance their position, it should be quite clear to the admin(who tends to be spectating the situation) that it was unintentional. This to me would not warrant a kick for the person who slipped off or spawned off the ledge when spawning on the player who got back into the playing field after redzoning, correct me please if I am wrong.

Sincerely,

A sneaky goat

Yes in the heat of battle sometimes players incidently fall off the ledge or spawn on others and fall as such. Give them a chance rather than kicking. You can still give them a private warning using the commands. But i would say not to kick unless intentionally going through redzone rather than incidentally falling off.

Goat the spot you are talking about from yesterday did not involve the redzone to get to. So no one redzoned to get there! But if a squad member spawns on his mate the ledge is small and he will sometimes fall into the redzone. Once in that redzone there is no way out and the player just times out or redeploys.
