Depending on what you're upgrading from, the Logitech G-Pro could be an excellent choice -- it's a bit more than $40 as it is $53 on Amazon right now though if you are willing to pay that much, I would say it is worth it. It's lightweight, it doesn't cap at 50,000 DPI for god knows what reason, it isn't more useful as a glowstick than a mouse intended for gaming and most importantly it has one of the best laser sensors among the high-end mice of today's market

There are arguably better mice to use if you play a lot of MMOs but this one is great for gaming in general. I can recommend some cheaper mice or some models that might be more suited to your favorite genre though so let me know what you think!
