=(e)= being helpfull issue: Thank you for wanting to help. Though , like Haloracer said: please construct it in a clear and meaningful way. "HaloRacer, please watch your language on eGO servers. Thank you!" instead of something like "language" or "watch ur language plz".
Message the admin in admin chat by pressing your team chat key and adding @ just before your text. Make your sentence clear to the admins so they understand right away.
there is no rule that says that =(e)= dont have the right to try to enforce the rules when they know somebody is breaking the rules. I prefer to see recruits say something than not.[/quote1211058916]
As an e, I have to say that this is the answer that I like the best, simply because it's the one that encourages us and makes us feel welcome. The problem with saying "Don't say anything, let the admins handle it" is that to me, it's kind of like it's saying to the e's "Sit down and shut up, kids, we'll take care of the big scary curse word users." I don't mean to sound confrontational, but I've said a few times to people "Just so you know, the server doesn't allow cursing, so keep an eye on it" when someone says something in voice chat a couple times. After doing that and then reading admins saying I'm not supposed to, I feel kind of conflicted. I love these servers just as much as any admin, so I feel like I should be able to protect their fun atmosphere in any way I can.
If I say once, just once, "Please watch the language", am I contributing to the problem or breaking a rule? I really hope not.
I can understand the worry of, like, EVERY e on the server pouncing on people. That'll have the effect of making us look like some gated community of pack dogs who jump on everyone. I'd say, if anything, that it should be made clear that if an e has to step in at all, try to make it ONE e, not 10.
