Priorities.

Single actions seldom overtake the priority of a larger project unless necessary. Servers crash, oh well. Servers need maps, oh well. Configs need changing, oh well.

Those are thing we get around to when larger, more important projects are complete. I've got like three large projects that benefit multiple servers personally.

I mean when the player base is dying for a reason that could be easily fixed and isn't because there are other priorities that will take over that won't be out for weeks or months is a problem because like fist said there will be noone there to play.
Such as when the server crashes, that hurts the server and when its been happening for months since a plugin, that wasn't tested, is put on a server and is messed with while people play because it is broken (no offense to gabe or anyone who did it like this) and when it causes so many problems and many of the people who play the server stop because of it and want the older versions back, or for the new one to be fixed, but aren't because not just the tech team but everyone (who has a say in it) says they dont save old versions (which i dont know why no one in tech saves old versions of something, its dumb) and that the new one will be worked on but never does. None of those things should of ever happened but they did and im not blaming anybody but something should've been done about it months ago when the problems were starting to get worse at least and if not when it all started. Also when there are things such as a server needs maps or something needs changed such as air acceleration, those are fairly simple fixes that will help the server and take barley any time or work away from the larger projects tech works on which shouldnt just be overlooked for those larger projects.

Thank you for your concerns. We are still working through the merger. We've finally moved the rest of the servers to EGO's unmanaged boxes.

I've appointed Temper to go through the bugs list to see what needs to be fixed ASAP, and what can be put off until the higher priority items get fixed first.

We've found the issue of why the servers are crashing, we are still working on a fix.

I want to remind everyone, Tech doesn't get paid to do this. We have jobs outside of this gaming community. We've all dedicated countless hours with making sure everything is running smoothly. I agree with you, shit is in a Frits right now, but you guys getting upset like this doesn't help anyone's situation.

I've said this to countless people, and I'll keep saying it. Give us some time to get our heads on straight, changes are coming to tech and we are still getting shit in order. If you can't handle patience, then I don't really know what to say to you. My 7 year old has problems with patience, I typically tell him to go read a book, go outside and play.

I promise you guys, things will change in a month. What I can't promise you is everything will get fixed within that month. I wish I could explain in detail everything that we are doing right now in the background, but I simply can't.

If it helps, we can hold a meeting and invite everyone so we can tell you everything that is happening in the backend so you can understand where we are at.

Would that work? Does that help calm the storm?

I 100% agree with all of your concerns

Why not get more people on the tech team then?

we even had a guy WHO LITERALLY HAS A DEGREE IN DEALING WITH THIS APPLY FOR TECH, HAS BEEN IN EGO FOR YEARS, yet he gets rejected because "lol he sucks".

I mean three people applied to tech to help out, none of them got accepted.

I would love a meeting where we could talk about all of this.
I believe that would help this calm down a little bit.

All im seeing is more promises and no proof. Showcase that you are indeed fixing things, and then i will be somewhat content. but its been months, and weve had a lack of communication other than "we are working on it posts" and its not good. Our servers have been ignored and demoralized, and a large playerbase has dwindled. Even after the changes, the damage is done, and its gonna be a chore to rebuild. I'm not taking back anything that I have said, as there has been multiple instances and places where we could have avoided this, and been able to proceed with the background changes while still being able to manage and work on the problems at hand.

If you are that in need of help, why HAVENT you guys looked for others? I guarantee there are multiple people that were willing to participate and volunteer their time as well to help in aiding the tasks at hand.

I myself have strived to get fixes, to help in aiding the transition of the TTT server yet instead i get disrespected and ignored, replied with empty promises, and told lies. I have poured my heart into eGO only to get nothing in return. There is no point in participating in fighting against something i Won't win. Until shit gets done, I'm not gonna put anymore effort.

I for one am not geared towards drama. I have a zero tolerance for drama. I've had issues in the past that I will not have again. I've seen our tech team complete dissolve because of one person, I won't let that happen again.

We are looking for people with good attitudes, willing to learn, willing to work with one another. When we tell a person that they can't join the tech team its a collaborative group decision.

I've appointed Covert to be our 'HR' of tech if you will. He's smart, professional and has a general idea of what tech team is looking for.

Believe it or not, tech team has a standard that we will follow. Some people will not like it, others will. We want to drive tech team like a job, so when they apply for a IRL job, they can use us as an actual reference.

We will hold a meeting, I'll schedule it for this weekend with a date and time and post in a new thread.

I'm locking this in fear of people getting more pissed off. I'd appreciate it if you brought your concerns to the 'Contact Leadership' and we can further review. If you want to speak to me privately, send me a pm.

You are 100% right, tech team is in a bad spot right now and it has been for the last year. We've lost people, we've lost motivation because of things like this, there is WHOLE lot you will never understand because you weren't apart of it. You will never understand the back end drama tech has delt with, or been through.

I 100% agree with your frustration, and I am not going to promise you anything, but we are getting closer. Believe me or not.

I agree with a lot of the frustrations posted here, but it's true that eGO is literally just coming out of a merge. The Tech Team has taken on two (off the top of my head) great and hardworking people who I've already seen bend over backwards on bugs. I understand you guys can't see everything they're working on because you don't have access to their forums, perhaps a transparency report would be helpful? This was attempted at pG but never came to light.

Regardless, best of luck to TT! You guys don't get enough thanks for your hard work and dedication :).

The tech team is currently working on the things that are a high priority. Obviously the csgo servers keep crashing since the update that was released a few days ago. They are looking into fixing that. Once all that gets done, then they can start looking into all of your wonderful suggestions that you have that will help better the servers. They will also fix the minor bugs that need to be fixed. I understand that some people are frustrated and I completely understand. Please be patient and let the tech team work their magic.
