Counter-Strike Global Offensive Jail Server Something that would be cool

Okay so I was dead one round and was just thinking, 50% of T's (usually) die within the first game, usually the first game is within the first two minutes so that's up to 7 minutes of being dead spectating the round, which at times can be boring, so I was thinking it would be cool if you could type a command (everyone could do this) that would respawn you as a 'ghost' and you could go around and play T games (surf, climb, race, bhop, etc.). You wouldn't be able to interact, pick up items, press buttons, block bullets, or be visible, you would just be able to have fun while waiting for the next round, idk I just thought this would be a cool thing to implement.

This is something we have looked into a lot, but as of right now there is just too many ways it can be abused and interfere with the round and would just leave to disruption and griefing. HERE is the page for the plugin and as you can see under "On its way" is fixing ghosts blocking knives, and this could lead to unknifable cts or ts if ghosts just stack on them. So maybe if that gets fixed we can talk more about it but the possibility for abuse is just too high at this moment.

I actually talked about this idea to Saiko so it's cool other people share it but the amount of lag, disruption and abuse that could happen is insane. It probably wont happen but it's a cool idea.

Jailbreak is pretty taxing on the system as is - this would probably add a fair bit of lag. Not to mention it would actually have to be developed and all (I know the plugin exists but it needs work to make it live on a server). Good idea in theory, probably a bit messy in execution

This has been suggested plenty of times in both pG and eGO, and overall, it just wouldn't work on jailbreak. It'd be too much coding and work for something that only some people would use. The "ghosts" would have to have lots of characteristics applied to them so they couldn't block bullets, can't interact with buttons, etc...

Easier to implement than re-die: Fullscreen Borderless Windowed mode.

BOOM! Easy alt-tabs, load up w/e hip hop game kids are playing today and just play that until the next round in 8 minutes.

If youre gonna post this, at least use the proper forum here rather than spamming this subforum. Seriously, about 90% of the shit in the CS forums is shit that should either be elsewhere or deleted. Use the suggestion box, its there for a reason.

Redie is a buggy mess that causes crashes and problems. Yeah, it sucks you die early, but you have the ability to do plenty of stuff waiting for next round.
