If I was an admin, I'd enforce my own no long LRs rule. 3 mins max. Sometimes I lit watch 7 minute LRs.
So this is now the 4th or 5th thread on some rule that is being enforced that isn’t even a rule. I really don’t know how I can say this more clearly.
Stop enforcing things that aren’t stated/closely related to a rule that we have. I don’t care if “that’s what we did at pG” or “that’s how it’s always been”. We need to stray away from needing an exact ruling on every single little detail for you to admin correctly and start using our mental aptitude and critical thinking skills when a situation arises. Think “is that breaking one of our rules we have set in place? Or am I just trying to admin something based off of no premise?”
Please, for my sanity’s sake. Stop enforcing rules that don’t exist.
Before on the old server we always let T's bloodhound anytime they wanted if they wanted to and were alive. Like if we are about to get lr we would always ask if they want to bloodhound so we don't search the map for 3 minutes. It just caused less drama and sped up the round.
Kind of off topic from the original post but just my thoughts.
Also what Mayhem said, admin the rules like they are written and if something comes up you all should have common sense (I hope since you got admin) to deal with it.

Admins try to stay consistant to prevent people from getting frustrated. A good example is "you can play a game twice if a T doesn't die" even though the rules say "same game cannot be played twice in the same round". Technically ATs decision contradicts the original rules but we follow what ATs say, this causes not all admins being on the same page and confusion.
Lol what. So you are saying you break the rule that we have because it is a convenience for you?
Also I've been seeing this question pop up more and im assuming its because of the whole marker race meta. Basically if the game played didn't kill any T's (winners/losers) then the game was never truly played. That's why wardens are able to play the same game IF the game didn't have winners/losers.A good example is "you can play a game twice if a T doesn't die" even though the rules say "same game cannot be played twice in the same round".
I don't think he's saying that, I just think hes saying that there are implied rules some admins are following while others are not. We need to be consistent as admins. An example is the bloodhound without reward.
After speaking with AT's we agreed that this is an implied rule we should continue enforcing, even though it's not currently in the rules. I understand you expressed if its not stated in rules then we shouldn't follow them so some of the implied rules that has been enforced for so long are being clarified in the new rules and FAQ.

However, if it gets to the point where the warden is playing the game 2+ times admins should enforce round delay and have the warden pursue the round.
From what I'm seeing here is if I have to join the server and admin it, I'mma just end up banning half the server and calling it a day seeing as half the people here and on the server lack the ability to think critically and just have fun instead of nit-picking that so-n-so rule isn't written down or that person X said Y while person Z said A and no one can figure out how just use their damn heads and think before they act.
Also how to just have fun, but apparently that can't happen on 4chan the Server...
This clearly shows that you haven't played on the server much, if you even have at all.
We do have fun, we do know how to use our heads, and we do what we can to keep the server as clean as possible.
We have to keep in mind that there are 52 slots on the server, 90% of them being regulars, who do nitpick rules, who will do anything to try to find loopholes and get away with things that, using common sense, shouldn't be allowed. Though, if we argue that he is wrong, he will argue that it is not in the rules, or that it can be understood a certain way. Yes, admins have last say - but if the entire server starts enforcing one thing, then it's hard as a single admin to enforce something else. It's hard because the "unwritten rules" are not stated anywhere. Not in the rulebook. Not in FAQ.
This is merely an attempt to clean it all up, to get everything under control - and to make our jobs easier. Why are you against that?

The game being played shouldn't be based on whether someone was killed or not. If a game is started by the warden but then ended early because there was an unfair advantage present, then that wouldn't be playing the game. But if he ran the game all the way to the end and there was a tie resulting in no deaths, the game was still played. CTs don't get to replay a game after the finalization of the game didn't result in a favorable outcome to the guards.
One of the other rules also says games must have winners/losers, so either way you're doing something wrong if we enforce every single rule.
Using your common sense is vital to keeping the servers at ease. Not every situation you will run into will be cut and dry. There will be some problems that come up in the server that will require you to use your situational awareness, critical thinking skills, and patience. Sadly we are not able to make every single situation defined in our rules, so as admins you must make sure to think quickly, but thoroughly.
Time for a new AT team if that's what you guys decide is okay.
