Correct me if i?m wrong (Fresh off the boat admin), people who are now server banned can still go through an appeal process?

I think it?ll take time for people to adjust but it?ll also probably end up deterring players who like to play with fire and make them think twice before they do something stupid.

Again, as most admins highlighted here, admins will have to be more dilligent before using their shiny ban hammer.

Definitely going to lower server population at times but not always, I hope people can learn from this to not be careless, cause I mean eGO surf is clearly the best ego server.

I would like to quell the complaints and crying for a moment. As Epic said, we had no control of this and our hand was forced by Prestige Gaming's site being shut down. With this, the CT Ban system was unable to be accessed (which is why all of you beautiful people have asked the same question to Tech over and over and over and over again). With the site being down, we had 0 way of managing the CT Bans that were in place.

This was just decided, so please stop crying and complaining about it without playing the server with it active. Frankly, it will probably clean up the server an EXTREME amount because when people find that the consequences for making those kinds of mistakes are much higher, they will actually follow the rules and make the environment more enjoyable.

So please, play the server and give it a chance. We wish we could've given you more notice, but this was sprung on us as much as it was on you. We will me monitoring the situation and seeing if times need to be edited. Cheers!

Jacko This is probably the worst thing out of the new rules. CT bans were nice because if you were a new member and you accidentally freekilled on CT, you would just get CT banned. But now the stakes are higher and I guarantee there is going to be a lot of conflict on what?s considered swappable or bannable. The CT bans were a nice in between.

Contivalious I am pretty sure that this is only a temporary change as the unavailability of the Prestige Gaming website was a sudden unexpected burden thrust upon us, I am confident that Leadership will try their best to work to bring back CT bans, this is just a temporary change to give some sort of punishment to careless CTs in the form of bans (plus it promotes players to be on their best behavior and temporarily removing the "I like T side more, just a CT ban" mentality).
