I have a question, can you take a set amount of winners for the deathrace on quake?

On one hand, it has a recall option so you have to take half

But on the other hand, every other map that features deathrace makes the warden take all winners.

A video of GreatORGood doing this https://streamable.com/5jj45s

you can take the first >50% to complete the game idk why there would be a problem with that

You have to take 50% or more in every game, I'm not sure if you have to take 50% if there's a recall on a game since every other admin has a different opinion on every rule. And you don't have to take all winners on map games, you can take half if possible.

u're that 1 t that will take snitch st on that 1 guy who ran away from stack and only get to pick next game and say it was worth it

Unless you want to be actively known as an annoying, toxic, hated warden I would suggest not trying to kill everyone.

i was just makin this cuz diff admins have different ways they handle this and i didnt know the correct way

Rule book states:

If there is a recall, you must take greater than 50% of the Ts as winners. Other maps where people will take all winners are maps that do not feature a recall button.
If you'd like to play fully through a game, it must be offered as an option, with another normal game to pick. (Like for joke day).

The main reason why you hardly see the recall button be pushed on quake is because deathrun is always played first. In most deathruns, you will only kill 1-3 players per trap. With the 5 or so traps there are, it's rare you'll be killing 50% of 30+ Ts.

He is talking about the deathrace near bhop where it rarely kills people. But what wase said is true but most of the time if you offer take all winners for that game they will go into that marker since it is a pretty easy game.

Ah, misread that.

If you were to judge solely based on the rule book,

You could take all completers until you kill of half. So, if half of the Ts were to die, yes, you'd have to recall the game.

You could also offered them the option like I explained above.

With this game, it's pretty rare that people would die, so I'd say you'd be best off just saying,
"Killing off half, or taking the first (half) completers. You are not in a winner until you make it to X marker".
