Counter Strike Source - Sever Suggestions

I've been playing Counter Strike since 1.6 so I know that Source is on it's way out slowly but surely however, you have a unique server where there are always players in it having fun but I'd like to pass on a few suggestions to both how you run the server and how admins act within the server.

1. Get some maps in rotation.

Playing Dust2 is fun however we can have more fun in the server by having maps rotate and the end of the session. My personal suggestion given that you have 32v32 is bomb site maps only otherwise the other team will just camp so .. Aztec / Nuke / Prodigy / Dust 2.

2. Admins

Love most of you, always making sure abuse is to a minimal and no specs when server is full also making sure there are no mic spams.. etc.

However tone it down when it comes to controlling what we can talk about. For the most part we are not talking about politics but when we are so what? Everyone is still playing the game and having fun. We are men mostly so when we bust each others balls it is normal, if one person complains it does not have to ruin it for the rest of us.

3. Hackers

There are some obvious hackers within the server that you'll kick or ban one day but then they will be on the next day. If you are going to ban someone stick to it.

I dont think you should be telling admins how to admin when you are not an admin trainer or leadership. Admins admin based on eGO rules and how they were trained. If you have a problem with it you can make a contact leadership but overall putting this out here telling admins to "tone it down". in the end, how admins admin things are up to their own discretion so if they admin something they feel needs to be admined they do. If they feel something is getting out of hand, or breaking an eGO rule they would admin it. I get you have good intentions and stuff, i just dont think its your place to be telling admins how to admin because they admin how they are told.

3. Hackers

Hackers are banned by admins and then further reviewed by leadership. That is how all bans work. Admins have no power to lift bans, that is on leadership. If leadership reviews the evidence and decides to give this person a second chance or anything, that is their choice. What happens from then on is not on the admins. They dont just go around unbanning people because they want to.

If you have an issue with a specific admin or rule you can take it to a contact leadership thread. All of these concerns except maybe the first one, would be something you put into a CL thread, not a public thread.

After 10+ years of it being just dust2, changing it to rotation will murder the server completely. Some people have been coming there for over a decade just because all they want is dust.

Our last rotation server attempt got 0 support. We tried this on our other source games when they started struggling and they died instantly. Just doesn’t work on the old games.

I'd love to see Jail back simply because there were so many good maps that were Source only, and now that I'm old, I really, really want to revisit some memories. Was a bit stunned to see it gone. I only ever played that and office, which is also gone.

Everyone moved on to CS:GO. We have VERY little support from our members for a good 3-4 years now (Or more to be honest) for Source at all. Little to no interest in it from our members.

Damn shame. If anyone still has the old maps I'd love to have them. There were a lot of neat things you can't do in the new version.
