So I play minecraft for a good 3 days, come back to CS:GO and this is what I see. The last 3 years of me playing competitive ruined because of someone I played with.

It's because people will buy 3$ prime accounts to boost their friends with their cheats. And just rage-hack and then only the hacker gets banned. So they made it now so that it will punish the PARTY members (not just being on the same team) - Basically, if you are knowingly partied up with a hacker and let's get real here, if you're playing with someone enough, you should be able to tell their aren't legit eventually and should stop playing with that person, right away.

Yeah when I played, I was qued with this guy for almost every comp game I played and I just thought he was an amazing smurf but he basically boosted me. So I understood why my rank was taken away tbh.

Yeah. You can't really be blamed for that if you're not a high-rank player. You wouldn't know what to look for and that totally sucks but I can usually spot a cheater within the first 5-10 comp matches unless they are really, really good at closeting (which happens, too)

Considering he got VAC and not game ban, that means his cheat got detected. So it's possible that he was a really good closet cheater and OW never caught him either. Sucks, but that's just how the system has to be because of hackers boosting friends.

Yeah. Honestly, I do not think people should be punished because of members in your game that you did not queue with. That's just my opinion. Then again, if it's blatant enough, maybe you don't deserve the win at all.
