as you may know, so many people are moving to my state, colorado. this has perplexed me as a colorado native born and raised here.
I'm going to give you a fine list of reasons why you should NOT make a move towards calling this hellhole home (as punk free as possible):
anyways where should I go after college? as a CS major I'm considering washington, and from my background I've ruled out florida and texas for obvious reasons, but where should I go?
as you may know, so many people are moving to my state, colorado. this has perplexed me as a colorado native born and raised here.
I'm going to give you a fine list of reasons why you should NOT make a move towards calling this hellhole home (as punk free as possible):
- our school systems suck across the state. they are either very homophobic and cliquey or severely underfunded. this contributes to an already staggering mental health crisis among youth in our state.
- corruption is real on literally every level, even in public school systems where we have teachers and administrators pocketing grant money (given to us bc of how bad our schools are as mentioned in point 1) then fleeing. especially in denver.
- everybody from boulder acts like they are the cherry on the top, that is, literally every one of them has a holier-than-thou attitude despite having never worked a damn fucking day in their lives.
- the companies bringing jobs to our state really don't give a shit about you. yes, that's right, they hardly ever do a damn thing for the workers they underpay or the dilapidating communities around them (how the hell they are still hiring people idk either bro).
- housing prices are going through the roof henceforth there is construction everywhere and even if you are lucky to get your hands upon the great deal that is real estate, you can hardly afford to live anywhere that isn't the backward suburbs of pleasantville.
- lol wanna fall in love? you're out of luck especially if you are in Denver because people are either too sad or too unfaithful to commit hahahahahahahahahahaha *ded*
- i can fucking guarantee you that traffic literally anywhere in this state is worse than anywhere literally anywhere else. it's impossible to get by anywhere without a vehicle thanks to severely underfunded public transportation so prepare to pull your hair out thanks to hours and hours of traffic jams.
