The recent changes on CCS where the bodies disappear is annoying and many others feel the same. I haven't noticed an improvement in game play but if we were all looking for improvement on performance we wouldn't be playing an 18 year old PC game. Thanks and have a nice day!

I completely agree with you. Believe me you are not alone. I have contacted the Leadership about this issue. I am sure they have their reasons for the changes, but let's be patient, and hope that Leadership decides to go back to the way things were before.

You'd be amazed how many people come here whining about the dust2 servers performance. On an ancient game where we are running far far more than the recommended number of player slots lol. We hadn't touched it in YEARS and suddenly a floodgate opened and people whined. Then they tried to do a few tweaks and... yeah, it's a hard dice to roll.

Anyways, hopefully the issue gets addressed and everyone can be happy. I don't play ever really anymore but dust2 was always my go-to in the past few years for CS fun, I wasn't a fan of GO so I went back to CSS when I did play.

Just noticed it for the first time and yeah, very annoying

Its hard to concentrate with exploding ammo loaded into the guns, feels like a quake game when you get a kill or something lol. Im trying to give it a chance, but it is hard to get used to so far. Maybe dead bodies can disappear? or was that what was already happening.

plus side server does feel smoother and better bandwidth

Players will always have something to say about the server -- the reg sucks, it's laggy, whatever other reason they have for dying. However, I do agree that it's preferable to let the bodies hit the floor.

Removing bodies is not a permanent change and is something that has been pushed to see if there any improvements to server performance, stability, and hit registration. I appreciate you and many others for voicing your concerns but I can assure you this change will be reverted shortly.

Until then please be patient and the Counter-Strike Leadership team apologizes for any inconveniences this change is causing.

I was just about to ask whether this was intended to improve performance. If we're told "we're trying X to solve Y" ahead of time, people are more tolerant of changes. Are there certain items, weapons, etc that cause problems? I've always wondered about smoke grenades since the server only seems able to render a certain number of them at any given time.
