I think on the Jailbreak server we should be able to vote a player off of CT. Theres many very very toxic CTs that play everyday and it really just makes the game boring and makes me wanna quit. I know theyre technically doing nothing wrong but seriously whats the point of just ruin the game for many players that are just trying to mess around and have a laugh. I think this feature should be implemented in some way to remove or keep a very toxic CT off of the CT side for at least a round or 2

I know what you feel dude but it will be a disaster if players have the choice to kick an other player from the CT team (a lot are just trolls, toxic players, mad players or kids). Like, you know what I mean. Some would just kick someone because they don't like it.

But however, admins should be more alert and be more severe with toxic CT players. I know 2 guys named VC and Face, they are 2 of the most toxic CT's ever so I don't hesitate to swap him for 30 or 60 minutes when they do too many toxic kills (like for example, when a T just move from one step aside)

This

Admins definitely need to be a little better on JB in general. This also doesn’t excuse you to go into text or voice chat and complain and belittle the user. If the admins aren’t doing their part, or you feel they aren’t, clip it and make a player report.

When someone does get swapped y’all need to stop celebrating it and acting like they committed a war crime.

For real ! This attitude will just push the swapped CT to keep doing his toxic kills when he will be unswapped :/

i mean i guess i get what you mean, there are alot of people that will just rage/troll and kick someone so maybe u can implement a system where u pick someone to kick and an admin has to approve the vote and then see if other players agree on weather the player is voted off or still on ct. thoughts ?

Literally tried to bring this up in the SS discord one time and it turned into a big argument. CT's will never not be super toxic because the people who can simply wont do anything.
"If you as the server specialists focus on the past, and what was, instead of what IS and what CAN BE, you're gonna go in circles"
"If 20 people woke up tomorrow and played with positive attitudes, great, that's the entire CT team and a few T's"
"nothing changes unless someone is willing to step forward and start acting like a role model"

These are quotes from someone can do something. And this one is the funniest IMO.
Me: "The people who already care should care more to make up for the lack of the people who dont? it doesnt work like that"
Admin: "it kinda does. the more people with positive attitudes and playstyles... the better"

This all comes from an admin who said he played a lot in the past "three weeks" from when this conversation was held. I am obligated to believe he 1. doesnt play as much as he thinks and 2. just doesnt care. Everything he said wont work unless its pushed by the people who will actually make a change **cough cough ADMINS cough cough** because certain people will always get on, join CT, pull up their OBS or whatever, and be toxic as all hell to make the game unenjoyable for everyone. One of the biggest reasons I don't play JB much during peek hours is because there are way too many CT's extremely close to this behavior and its so annoying.

I agree with Nekkk and Buster. I have ctbanned players for being too toxic, and I understand that people on CT want to win the round and kill off as many T's as they're allowed; however, players have to keep in mind how they would feel if the same situation happened to them on T. The mentality of "You didn't listen to warden" (even though they slightly stepped out of a marker for example) is the same mindset of someone looking to farm kills for the fun of it instead of playing the game how it should be played. If a T is clearly delaying or is clearly not following warden commands then they should be killed. It's as easy as that. Yet, if players aren't really disobeying the warden then they shouldn't be killed for the smallest reason (refer back to my marker example). I know that I myself am trying to get used to admining JB more and I hope that the other admins will also see this thread as a reminder that we should end toxicity and improve others' enjoyment on our servers :)

This is where admin discretion in my opinion sucks. What exactly is too toxic? If I kill someone for simply not following the wardens commands I shouldn't be swapped. If someone runs for a secret and its just a smoke and I kill them is that swappable?

theres a line between toxic and being a normal ct. being toxic is killing Ts for little slip ups like slightly delaying and stepping out of marker. being a normal ct is protecting warden keeping Ts from rebeling etc. theres one CT main that ik for a fact is very toxic is Dr BushBum hes a chill person and a good player but a very toxic CT he may be having fun getting lots of kills but it is fun for Ts because players like myself that arent very good at the game cant even have a chance to practice the games and maybe get to lr but when i have to make sure i follow every rule in the book while also having to try my best to win a game like bhop it just isnt fun and just makes me wanna quit.

Oh you'll know when someone is being "too toxic". Its usually when people start grabbing the pitchforks...

Its the people who do this that are the CT mains. So unless swapped, they're always on CT.
If a T is clearly delaying or is clearly not following warden commands then they should be killed.
But nobody is saying this is a bad thing.

The problem with this is that, especially during peek hours, no matter how big or small the "rebel" or "disobeyed command" is, 9 times out of 10 you are now sitting in spectator for the remainder of the round. And regardless of how I come across, it is nice to see some admins (you and nekk in this example) actively show you're trying to help the situation. But there are more admins than I can count on one hand that also don't swap CT's for anything unless its MFK or they themselves get freekilled.

This right here is a perfect example of some people not fully comprehending what we're asking for. Nobody is asking for the T's to be able to rebel with no consequences. That would make the game completely unfair and absolutely horrible to play and enjoy as a CT player or even just a casual T player. What we are asking for is the CT's to chill out and learn some trigger discipline for the smallest things.

Examples:
- Warden command is "When cell doors open go to my red marker at the bottom of the stairs". The CT's who ADS with an AWP or tap shoot at the T's jumping around the marker causing them to leave the marker are the issue here.
- Warden command is "Shift walk follow my line onto dodge course". It's the CT's who shoot the T's for not following the line 100%. (This is different if the warden explicitly states to directly follow it)
- Warden command is "Crouch walk...". It's the CT's are ADS with an AWP and immediately try and shoot the people who uncrouch for even a split second. This same thing goes for shift walking when a T lets go of shift for a second but still follows the command to follow the warden/line.
-It's the start of a round and you were AFK for a few seconds because when you click off CS it minimizes and you have to ALT TAB back in. It's still the start of the round so you make your way to the marker and right before you get there the CT's start shooting or killing you. I even have a perfect example of this.

This happens way more often than it should, and its ridiculous to then be either forced to go sit in spectator till the end of the round which is easily sometimes 10 minutes, or go play something else.

I'll say again, we're not asking for T's to be able to rebel whenever they want without punishment. I just believe we need to re-evaluate how we handle and deal with toxic CT's whose lifelong goal is to make everyone else have a bad time. There are literally CT's who get on, open they're desired recording software, and begin to be as toxic as they can and when someone complains they have the footage to show they didn't break a rule.

"Toxic players are an incurable problem to JB. Rules and policies will never fix toxic players. It's gonna come down to the player themself. Toxic players have existed since I started in 2016. They come and go. If you wanna fix toxicity, be a better player yourself."

This right here is a garbage mindset to have because this literally falls on admins to ensure people aren't breaking rules. This quote is literally from an EGO. Like??? It starts with admins, and the players will follow. A single casual player will not and never will be able to change a whole community by himself. It starts with the people who can and will do something. Thats the people who have the power to do so and will enforce these rules.

I do not make bad judgments.

It depends of the action. Killing someone for not doing the command is normal. But killing someone because he made a step aside from the line, it's ultra toxic (and i see some CT's doing that).
However, I understand that if a T doesn't follow the command, he can be killed. All the CT's just have to make the difference between someone who is clearly rebelling and who is not. Like to give an examples, on clouds, if we go to the bhop area, we need to pass by the basketball court. And, as a T, if I just make a detour (and that's not even a big detour) to take the basket ball, some toxic CT's will kill me without a hesitation. And for me, that's toxic as **** because i'm not even trying to rebel.

Player report includes admins. If you have evidence, report them. They will still be talked to about it, not necessarily “instantly demoted”.

This thread has also just turned to taking a crap on everyone and being toxic. You condemn them for these actions but then you turn around and do the same thing on the forums. If they can’t do the right thing then show you can.

Just like almost everything else in life things aren't as black and white as they seem here. As a T main (I've played CT for 1 or 2 rounds I think), I hate toxic CTs as much as the next guy, they can really suck the fun out of the round/game for a lot of people. It's annoying to step out of a marker slightly and get killed for it, or un-crouch for 1/2 a second and die for it while crouching to climb. That being said, CTs rarely win rounds and the reality is a certain level of toxicity is almost required in order to give them a chance.

Something I think that would help balance the toxicity of CTs, which I know are implemented on other JB servers, are warning shots. Instead of being 1 tapped for falling off the cell button or slipping outside the marker I think it would be fair to allow the CTs to shoot someone once in the body for ~30 damage as a warning. It's not a perfect fix but I think it's as good of a middle ground as you can get between being insanely toxic and keeping the Ts in line. If someone isn't in the circle a body shot will quickly remind them where they need to be without being toxic and ruining the round for them and possibly making them wait 8 minutes until the next round. If you aren't following the rules enough, 3-4 body shots and you'll be dead anyway so it gives the Ts a little bit of leeway while allowing the CTs to itch their trigger fingers a bit without getting complaints of toxicity.

Not sure if you guys experimented with them in the past but I think warning shots are great and keep things balanced/fair for everyone.

Jailbreak isn't about who can win the most rounds, if you want to play a round based gamemode go play causal or competitive lol

I agree with this 100%

It probably wouldn't change much if something like this was added. I mean you can give warning shots as of now anyways. If they out the circle, they are rebelling, so... yeah-- you wouldn't get swapped for shooting them as like a warning.

And yeah, the goal of the game (and any game) is to have fun, so back when I was admin I would ask myself, "is this fun?" or "am I ruining the fun right now?" and yeah that worked out most of the problems.

Warning shots are good in idea, not very good in practice.

I personally use them all the time if someone's slacking a bit, but if they became a "right" in the rulebook, you get a LOT of complaining about people thinking they were entitled to a warning shot and whatnot. It's basically like everyone creating their own definition of what pushes the line and then bitching about it to admins, instead of the current systems of admins creating their own versions and just admining off of it.

Also complaining that admins do not always make the best decision towards toxicity, while valid for some, is something that is just always going to exist. You either trust the people to create their own version of toxicity and then bitch to admins, have the admins create their own version, or create an ultra restrictive and complex rulebook.

The first one is never going to work for obvious reasons, and the complex rulebook isn't a good idea because then the rules become more complex, fewer people know about them, and the more argument you're going to have in admin chat. Admins creating their own versions of rule interpretation is never going to be perfect (We're humans too), but has proven to be the best option time after timer again.

This comes down to the people who really want the server to change for the better and if they want to work for it or not. If you want change, going the extra mile is nothing. That's how I feel.
