Purple race is much easier in comparison to course on moti IMO. A casual player could beat purple race pretty easily. Some of the jumps on course are incredibly difficult even for good players (hence why this game often results in everyone being killed).-1
I'm indifferent about this change. Doing so will force Wardens to take half in the game unless he does a vote. It'll be like adding a recall button to jb_peanuts purple race. We would rarely see players play the game to completion (Unless Hurt is off) which makes the course challenging and fun.
I do agree that the whole "kill 1 in tower surf then take all winners in course" is toxic but I don't think adding a recall/hurt button to course is the best option.
This part of moti is nit-picked specifically because CTs do it for the sole reason of being toxic. How does adding a recall change how this game would be played? The good players will still get to complete it, and casual players that cannot make the strafe jumps at the end can actually survive and enjoy the rest of the round. Why do people want to change every single little thing about maps.
Some games should be kept so that you can only take all winners and not just 50%. Jacko makes a good point that if hurt is allowed than Course will never be played till completion. The course really isn't that difficult, as long as you have the slightest idea on how to strafe you can complete course. The hardest part in the whole game is the ending where you just have be more careful and strafe for more than usual.
If you start changing maps for little things such as this instead of letting maps be then we should edit every single thing on every map that isn't perfect. Make every breakfloor on every map destroy everything but the last few blocks, add a recall button to color towers, have every game auto stop games when more than 50% is killed, hey lets even completely remove any luck based games because there's no guarantee of 50%.
Also what type of suggestions are these, you can't even downvote a suggestion you can only upvote it.
There are things that are 10x more cancer than that. If you join the server and die and can't wait 3-4 minutes of sitting in spectator then community servers aren't for you. The point I was making is that you shouldn't edit every single map for something this small. Tower surf + course is played about once every 50 rounds or so, and even then maybe 1-2 people survive it, which means it ends up just being a 4min round. This part of moti is nit-picked specifically because CTs do it for the sole reason of being toxic. If I was a new players hopping on JB and immediately the first round is tower surf (kill 1), then kill 90% of the Ts in course, I'm leaving immediately after the round when I die because the jumps on that course are not realistic for a new/casual player to make.
They couldn't actually. There is a specific rule for luck based games that does not allow you to play them with over 20 prisoners alive, to avoid this exact situation. Similarly, you cannot play first reaction last reaction or opinionated games with over 10 prisoners alive (prisoners also have the choice to participate in opinionated games, you cannot force prisoners to play them).People act as if playing course is extremely toxic when it really isn't, if wardens wanted to be toxic they could just play tower surf, kill one, play one marker lives, first reaction last reaction, trivia, and then even an opinionated game if they wanted to have their friends win lr.
This is a poor mentality to have. New players are needed for jailbreak to be populated and successful. If they join the server and are not having fun/met with toxicity, they will leave and the community will not grow. There are things that are 10x more cancer than that. My bad, instead of killing 1 just kill 1/2 and then for the opinionated game pick the other choice as prim, sec, melee, grenade, I wonder how many people will pick the second optionThey couldn't actually. All these rules are there to avoid toxicity and not allow the warden to kill all the prisoners quickly in a round. Doing tower surf kill 1 and then playing course to kill almost everybody else is just a loophole to these rules.

This server has quite literally been the top jailbreak server for the past 5 years if you include PG, throughout the past 5 years the server has always been able to maintain a steady player base. During NA hours it has always been able to get more than 30 players, which is even considered quite low for this server, and at it's peaks the server is completely full even when you kick the spectators. Most jailbreak servers are completely dead and struggle to get past 20 players. Ego will always be able to get players as long as csgo doesn't die. This is a poor mentality to have. I'm not saying we need to tailor the rules to suit new players or make every game super easy, but this specific situation needs to be changed to avoid toxicity. Course can still be played with a recall and be just as enjoyable without being insta kill.
It's what makes course unique, it's what makes it fun, it's not like another climb where you get multiple chances at it and you just get to afk freeze when you don't want to continue. Moti has 13 games which you can play as a first game and has a toggled hurt option. If you can not do course till the point where the moving beam comes then you will most probably not be able to do any of the other games on the map.A game’s difficulty should come from the game itself, not how many tries you get on it. You don’t see surf, climb, or long jump games instantly kill you for just missing one jump. Course‘s difficulty is largely artificial; if more attempts were allowed, more people would complete it.
