Be thankful you have admins!

Read this and take a moment to think.

I was just on a diffrent server (eGo servers were full, nice by the way!) on TF2. As soon as I joined, PURE CHAOS!

Now, not in a good way, THE HORRIBLE WAY! Exploiter, grievers and LOTS OF ARGUEMENTS.

No admins, no votekick/ban, no enforcement, no laws. I don't even think there were rules. It was MESSED. No contact info, no offical website. Dumb. Only 4! (including me) out of 24! (about 11 each with 2 specs, we had 3 afks -_-) were trying to stop this. Nothing. Some were just muppets ( no offensive mop!) taking the bullets while others did nothing, but talk saying "STOP" and "WHERE'S THE ADMIN?"

So, why am I writing this?

BE THANKFUL YOU HAVE PLENTY OF WELL, TRAINED ADMINS AROUND.

Most clans HAVE to pay for admin which not many of their clan members do.

Your lucky the clan is giving admin powers away for FREE, BECAUSE they feel your ready to be a mature person and enfocring the laws of eGO.

Thank an admin the next time he/she makes a problem go away, and make sure you have a great time.

And thank the Advisors and Councils for giving the admins admin powers!

Oh, and for e's, contact one. NEVER ask for a promotion, you will be one sooner. Just play the game, have fun and make friends. THAT'S how you get promoted.

Admin doesn't just have the power to ban and kick, it has the power to change views.

Yeah, it has lots of colorful text and all caps.

But yeah, it's a great point. Rules don't mean anything if there's nobody around to enforce them. We do have a great group of admins, and that's a huge factor contributing to our popularity and reputation.

I ate some chaos last night, but I had some digestion issues this morning. Would not recommend eating chaos on a regular basis. Canadian, that is the best thing I've ever seen emerge from your keyboard (Including yummy bacon.) Thank you admins, and I am still not on the receiving end of this post until Saturday.

Great post, i know what you mean to 3 months into eGO and used to the syle and community. Then my uncle got the game and i took him to a small pub server and it was CHAOS, if only officer friendly was there he couldve ate it XD. But great post remind us all not to take it for granted take honor in being here.

I TOTALY AGREE!!! my old clan was kinda organized wit free admin, website, ect, but the admins could do watever....even to other admins. so even though i was co leader, i was frequently banned for "fun" slayed and at times never lived more than a couple seconds without being abused. so Thank you EGO for making CSS (and now tf2!) fun again. except for garden....and mop....and ....Everyone. =) jk jk love u all.

Good post Canadian. I used to play Trackmania and really enjoyed it but much like your experience it's chaos and not just one server, practically every server I played on had all sorts posting all manner of racist and idiotic comments without an admin in sight. Needless to say I don't play it anymore because my enjoyment turned sour without a decent server to play on.

Although my TF2'ing is eGO exclusive .

that reminds me so much about my old clan....... me and a few other guys were admins on a server (it is layed down now) in CS:S but everytime none of us were on the server were like hell...

we were only 6 admins and then a few guys who only could kick.... not organized at all

the server went down and yea... (you can guess the rest)

we didnt have to pay for it cause the guys who owned it was never on and one of them was my friend so i got admin and thats the story

eGO is so much better organized and everything!!! and now even if a admin isnt on ( i dont see that often) then people is respecting the rules and dont breake them (thats what i saw when i was an "e")

yeah, sometimes i play on random servers and you wouldnt believe the arguing..

One guy would accuse some guy of hacking, everyone else would agree.. and the guy accused wouldnt say anything.

SO, there's 5 people screaming on the mic about WHY they think he's hacking while 8 other people are discussing it in chat (gets REALLY loud) .. usually i just leave. That's why eGO servers are so great.

i am very thankful that we have mature admins, and thankful everytime they catch foul lang---- inthe mod and put a stop to it..

Well i agree with everyone that the admims here are great. But i think this post is more to give credit to the system of edgegamers. Which the admins are just a small part. I say Give the biggest amount of credit to the guys that setup the system. Which would be the council and advisors. So I am throwing all my props and thanks to the advisors and admins and anyone else that helped setup such a great system getting new memebers and admins as well as great servers.
