My max was 205lbs at 150lb BW, this was a year ago when i was 16. Haven;t maxed out ever since

We don't go for 1 rep maxes very often to limit injury risk, but Saturday mornings we go heavier because Sunday's a rest day. Not quite a max but still ripping.

Here's the current progression chart since conferences

I weigh 220 and can do 15 push ups does that count?
i can actually find out your max on bench by your pushup count. Its not completely accurate but its a good. So when your doing pushups, your pushing 64% of your bodyweight. So 64% of 220 would be 140. So you can hit 140 for 15 reps. If you use a PR calculator your max is apparently 220, but anything i'm saying could just be wrong and inaccurate.

Its not completely accurate but its a good measurement of strength*

If your not constantly checking your one rep max then your probably not that strong 🤷‍♂️

The marginal risk of injury greatly increases when you get close to maxing out, while the marginal gains just barely increase.

It's almost always smarter to go for 2-3 reps at 80-90% max, rather than 1 rep at max, especially when your work in the weight room is intended to supplement your sport.

not true, i maxed out like every 2 months. If you do it too recent you wont feel like your getting stronger but in reality it takes time.
