Medium 3 Jailbreak rule suggestions

1st rule: "Warden has to give T's 3 seconds to freeroam in a game before starting it on games such as deathcrate or crazy asian." An example as why this rule should become a thing - on the map eckzdee, there is a crazy asian deathcrate thing where the car has a set path. The warden could make the T's go into the corner where the car first goes and said "Be in the marker, okay I'm starting now" and the T's only get a second to run off before the car ends up hitting that corner.

2nd rule: "Warden and CT's aren't allowed to tell a T to drop the Jihad Bomb unless he is promised ST for it." As of recent, wardens have been unstacking T's and telling the person with the bomb to drop it into a cell and is not promised ST. This almost always delays the round by at least 25 seconds, many times it delays the round over 45 seconds if the person with the bomb originally drops it to another T or attempts to pick it back up. What's the point of having a Jihad if most wardens get rid of it within the first minute of the round and don't promise ST?

3rd rule: T's are able to grief teammates. Warden is still responsible for the T's though, they shouldn't be careless and just put them right next to a button. They also should make a valid attempt to stop the game if a T griefs. If they grief they are 100% KOS but it is not against the rules. Such as throwing flashes/smokes into games is allowed and starting games without permission is allowed. Reasons for this: New players often don't know about this rule, yes they should read the rules when joining a new server but realistically who is doing that. Rounds could become faster if more T's die due to the grief. And overall I don't think most people and admins view T's griefing other T's is a bad thing, jailbreak should be optimized to be the most fun and in past experiences on other jailbreak servers, seeing a T run out of colors to start it and everybody dying is hilarious and shouldn't be a bannable offense.

I respectfully disagree with the third point. Allowing griefing—such as instantly killing others through smoke or flash tactics at the start of a game—can significantly diminish the enjoyment for most players. It’s especially frustrating when it leads to an entire server becoming inactive, which we've unfortunately seen happen before. While such actions might be amusing in low-population servers or specific contexts, they tend to disrupt the overall experience in standard gameplay. Most players simply want a fair, enjoyable game without being taken out arbitrarily. Removing any consequence for griefing would likely lead to widespread abuse, which is why it's important to maintain clear boundaries. There are solid reasons we discourage this kind of behavior and keeping it in check helps preserve the quality of the game for everyone.

Pretty much this.

The other 2 rules are valid suggestions though which I agree with.

I know I'm not an admin, but I'd like to reply as an avid JB player.

In response to the 1st rule suggestion -
I usually will tell T's they're allowed to free-roam within the area before I press the button when I know the game will kill them, but this could be easily manipulated as a T-Sided rule, allowing for easy rebelling in smaller areas of effect. Ultimately, I disagree with this one. I've never had a problem while on T where the warden just presses the button immediately after stacking everyone up, and I really hope this post doesn't give anyone ideas.

In response to the 2nd rule suggestion -
I know a few wardens who you're referring to cough StealthGus StealthGus cough. However, delaying the round 30 seconds to get rid of an overpowered weapon isn't the end of the world. I know some people get salty for not getting ST for it, but in my opinion, it is what it is. You get some very strict wardens, and some lax. Whereas I do think some wardens should lighten up a bit cough StealthGus StealthGus cough, I don't think this should be a rule.

In response to the 3rd rule suggestion -
You've got to be kidding... As T's were on the same side and want the same outcome to the rounds. Why ruin that by having a rule that lets a T sacrifice potentially a whole team only to die for it afterward? Let's hypothetically say this rule was changed: by griefing even 4+ Ts not only are you ruining the round and possibly the minigame, you are also pinning the warden with MFK and potentially ruining a new server member's first impression of the server.
And as far as your reasoning for new members doing it anyway, they are dealt with by the admins. They should've read the rules. I got in trouble for this my first time on the JB server myself because I didn't read the rules first.

Again, these are just my opinions on them.

I also agree fully with this statement, just as Monty does.

The other two points you made however are good, and I think should be implemented aswell.

I like your first rule suggestion in a “better safe than sorry” sense. Can’t say I’ve seen this be an issue but I can see how that could take place and Ts game is ruined by a warden either purposefully or not restricting Ts to an area that disadvantages them in a game. I don’t think a strict 3 seconds needs to be added to the rules for this as I feel like saying that the warden shouldnt restrict the inside of a game while it’s active kind of implies not restricting the game so close to starting it as to be an issue and cause Ts to die unfairly.

Regarding point 2 and 3 I personally agree with what ducks ducks and soupp soupp wrote.

If the warden wants to be extra careful and make the Ts drop the bomb without ST or crouchwalk somewhere I feel that is their right. We shouldn’t be adding rules that discourage warden or guard to be careless (or not be extra careful perhaps is a better wording) so long as they are being fair to all Ts of course.

I think that having strict rules around griefing Ts is absolutely necessary for high pop or the server would just be chaos and not fun (unless a lot of work is done to “babyproof” maps to stop Ts from killing their buddies). Ts just can’t be trusted or controlled.

regarding late night/low pop: I think a slightly lighter hand on the part of admins interpreting those rules is warranted to not scare away new players and to still allow for some of the silliness that makes people love late night JB so much to take place. Of course there’s a line that can’t be crossed and should never be making the server less fun or ruining someone’s game.

Rule 1 -> I'm pretty sure most Wardens given them a few seconds anyway before starting the game. I don't think this needs to be implemented. If you notice a Warden continuously being cancer, I would just speak to them and reason with them on giving them a second or two before starting a game.

Rule 2 ->
We could put a KOS if held out for more than 3 seconds but not sanctioned to being forcefully dropped without ST.

Rule 3 -> I'd rather not see a whole de pop from T's killing T's. It's super annoying if I go into deathcrate or colors and boom the button is pressed and I die... like ducks ducks I too was banned for this after coming from a server who allowed it and realized how toxic it was after getting banned.
