APRIL FOOLS! Official Policy Update: Unban Purchases
This is not the usual update you have come to expect from this us, but we feel like this was a needed change to modernize the community.

After long discussion, Community Management has decided to make a major policy change regarding bans. The decision has been made to allow players to pay a fee of $9.99USD (see pricing update) to have any ban reversed. This decision was made after months of collecting feedback from all levels of membership of EdgeGamers. This will allow people who have spent the time and effort to improve themselves have an outlet to return to EdgeGamers once again and enjoy the community.

Community Management has created a strict set of guidelines to guarantee that all Unban Purchases are handled fairly and without bias. These rules will also govern the behavior of players who do purchase unbans to ensure a smooth transition for all players.

Process for Purchasers

• Submit a Unban Purchase Request.
  • https://www.edgegamers.com/unban-purchase
• Wait 24 hours for an automated review of the request.
• A payment button will be created within the request and fill out form provided.
• Wait an additional 24 hours for the payment to process and system to automatically reverse your ban.

Going Forward
All returning players will be welcomed back into EdgeGamers with open arms assuming that they agree to our Code of Conduct and Server Rules. Returning players will have a clean slate so that they have the same ability to enjoy the servers as everyone else.

This change will go into effect immediately, the system is ready for anyone who misses playing in EdgeGamers to submit and return.

Official Update
Due to high-demand and limited supply, we are adjusting our pricing structure to ensure a fair and sustainable process for all players. We remain committed to providing an efficient, smooth unban purchasing process while maintaining the integrity of our community.

Effective immediately, the new pricing for unban purchases is as follows:

• Base Fee:
  
  
  
  where t is the ban duration remaining in minutes.
  (in text form: 35*(1-e^(-(t/10000))) for 0<t≤43,800, and $75 flat otherwise, including for permanent bans)
• Alt Accounts: +$20/alt
• "Unappealable" Bans: +$50
• Reconciliation Fee: +$0-$5000, at Leadership's discretion based on case severity, prior conduct, and community impact. This fee helps to ensure the fair and proportional handling of each unban request while maintaining the integrity of our moderation standards.

All prices are in USD$, and additional fees are stackable. You may use our Unban Fee Calculator to estimate your pricing.

If you have difficulties affording this new price, we offer the following options to help you return to our servers!:

• Educational Discounts (30% off) with a valid, recognized university/college student or faculty ID.
• Assistive Pricing (up to 50% off) for low-income individuals, with a written essay application (1000 words minimum). Please note that we reserve the right to use your case for community awareness and advertising purposes if you pursue this route.

Discount eligibility and approved percentage are at Leadership's discretion based on merit and application quality. You may not stack discounts.

The process for unban purchases remain unchanged, with the exception that you will now be informed of the price for your unban at the time of payment.

All returning players will continue to be welcomed back with open arms, provided they adhere to our Code of Conduct and Server Rules. As always, returning players will receive a clean slate to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for everyone.
