favorite server list getting erased?

Does TF2 ever erase your list of favorited servers? This has been happening to me about every 2-3 weeks lately. It gets annoying having to add our huge list of servers back everytime does this happen to anyone else and if so has anyone been able to prevent it?

This happens to me a lot as well. I'll have all my favourites for about 2 or 3 weeks then all of a sudden, they just disappear. I don't think there is a solution. You'll just have to deal with it lol

Part of the reason might have something to do with a lot of our servers being moved to new boxes. They change IPs when they do that, which means your favorites aren't pointing to your favorites anymore.

What I do instead of using the favorite is using the history tab which showed all the servers you played.Then I just click server name and the eGO servers show up

i have had this happen to me in the past, although it seems to have stopped. For me, the problem was that if i was in-game and added a favorite, it would never be available in my regular steam server list. The same went for history.

If I recall correctly you can back up serverbrowser.vdf as a workaround. It is found at C:\Program Files\Steam\config
