Zombies!

i live in the middle of nowhere = no zombies to worry about round here :)

If you were one of the few survivors, and could manage to defend yourself, you'd still need to provide the basic essentials for yourself. Foraging for food in the wild is not as easy as driving through taco bell :) ...hopefully BBQ'ed zombies taste delicious :p ...and hopefully you die before you run out of toilet paper

It's hard to say what I would do. I mean, it's easier said than done of course. Though, I can't help feel that I would be screwed somehow. Best plan would be to move to the countryside and deal with roamers than large masses of zombies in the city. I don't have extensive knowledge of a real frontiersmen but I think I could manage with some studying. Still, if you liked those movies I suggest that you pick up the comic book "The Walking Dead." I picked it up because I was zombie crazy and trust me it did not disappoint. Other than that I look forward to all who posted this to play Left 4 Dead with.

id find the tallest building in my city and put a bunch of supplies (food, guns, and ammo) up there and wait for a helicopter...easy as that...oh and id take my family with me =P

I have crates of MRE's already, so I would just need to provide water and a place to go. Id probably grab my plethora of firearms and head for one of the tanks that is down the street from me and make myself a path through the zombies until I came upon a woman to procreate with and repopulate the human race. Fortification isnt a problem when you live on a military base.

That is pure win!

I already own a wide variety of weapons to keep myself relatively protected, but I would probably leave the city at the first sign of outbreak. My plan would be to travel across Missouri and Kansas, into Colorado. I would avoid cities, as they would be a hotbed of zombie activity. The highways (especially in Kansas) would probably be fairly safe for quite awhile. At least until the major metropolitan areas began to die off.

Anyway, my uncles live out in the Colorado Mountain range. And I suspect that zombies no longer have enough reasoning to protect themselves from the cold and foul weather of the rocky mountains. Any approaching zombies would simply freeze in the environment before they could pose any danger. Even though the cold would not kill them, it would still render their bodies immobile. Which would make them easy pickings for anyone in the area.

As far north as I can get. Zombies have no body heat and will freeze in sub zero temperatures.

You ever play Dead Rising? I'd go to the local hardware shop and grab me a large pneumatic drill... as illustrated by this video: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtGxWDpyDrs[/ame] And it DOES take off the head if you look carefully, each limb falls off as it hits a wall or another zombie.

Wait OMG I know its amazingly easy. You just find a lakeand drown yourself but then your activate your super fish powers and live. But then there are water zombies....

Now being a huge zombie genera fan myself Ive come to notice the issue I see people seem to underestimate in this scenario is that, in the unlikely event of a zombie Apocalypse (brain eating or flesh eating sense or even the mass insanity/death whatever) Is that you wouldn't be dealing with a monster or a physical entity that you can just kill wave after wave of and hope to survive in the bleak unforgiving place the world would become.

You would be dealing with a biological plague of sorts where you would have to worry about contracting this plague from outer sources besides direct contact with said monster, and look at secondary transmission methods, such as water, rodents, insects, air born etc

So its not so much to worry about killing a monster but avoiding germs,

here is a fun simulator http://www.crazymonkeygames.com/fullscreen.php?game=Pandemic-2

I would get into a nuclear submarine with a woman, procreate and 40 or so years later surface, evaluate my surroundings and repeat if necessary, if not no problem.

You'd all be dead. I'm cooking up my survival plan as we speak. Considering there is quite a large possibility for zombies, especially with the advent of nanobots.
