Seems the film does not follow the game at all.
It does, and i'll tell you some things.
-Mona Sax
-His Demons you actually see. In the game, whenever he was drugged of Valkyr, his demons would start to come out. In this, instead of him speaking about it, you actually see his Demons. Of course they're a metaphor.
-The narration. Judging by the 2 trailers i've seen, it seems that they're still following the godlike narration. I personally think Whalberg is the best choice for Max Payne.
-He's still got his "Super Hero" trait. Of course he's not one, but you get the point.
-They have NUMEROUS references about Valkyrie. I assume that Valkyrie plays a large roll in the movie, just like it did in the games.
-Jack Lupino, (The dude who was all satanic), is in it.
-Max Payne running into his house with a gun only to find his wife dead in the bed is in it, as well as Max seeing his dead baby.
-In part of the trailer, it shows him ontop of a helipad which is where Max Payne 1 left off at.
-And finally the last part i noticed in a 2 minute trailer, is he's followed by the cops all over the city.
