Bring convoy back!?!

I'd also be in favor of adding it to the rotation. I think it would be interesting to play, and might give the rotation server a nice bump in players every once in a while.

Coudl we vote on a couple maps to have for 24/7 server. Like maps toyfort, floodzone, and two other maps or seomthing.

I hope this doesn't replace Arena maps. I loved Convoy, but it's time has passed to be fair, and arena maps is still pretty popular I believe.

Well, if you're looking for suggestions, I know our Toy Fort server was moderately popular and had a fairly regular crowd. I have no clue how it did compared to Convoy, however. (And, just for fairness' sake, I'll admit I might be slightly biased in making the suggestion since I really enjoyed the server, but it was one that, if I recall, ranked higher than some of the servers now when it was changed to Arena).

i would agree with you In(e)..i have seen you in there alot...and have had the honor of u pwning the crap our of me btw...lol...but seriously...if you are talking about Fug's server, yeah it's cool...but the all-chat REALLY gets to me, and there really isn't any sort of Team Strategy going on...just a bunch of kids/adults running around blowing people up...where some find that cool..some people like the map, and try to actually play...While i do actually frequent that server often..i tend to turn my sound off, or at the very least, muting half the server because of all the obscenities and mic spamming going on...I think we should give it a shot, i personally would be there quite often...although choosing between convy and black mesa would be prolly the hardest choice i have ever had to make..lol

I'm a big fan of convoy.


I have to strongly disagree with the 'no team strategy' thing. I personally believe that if you have a good team, there will be communication and teamwork no matter what happens. Yes, it lends itself to snipers, but look at 2fort instaspawn.

Frankly, I would love to give this map another run. this was a cult classic, and while you see a bunch of people here saying meh, you will notice the people who have said yes have said it with a lot of conviction.

If the map fails, and there aren't enough people to fill it, I also support getting it gone. I think that it's a great map, but again, if we can't fill servers with it, It should be used for events, and not 24/7s.


Also, I would like to add: Without convoy, I would never have joined eGO. It has a special place in my heart, and certainly it was the draw for me. I loved it, and played it here often. This is how I came to meet the clannies, and really start to love the community.

now, is that to say that if it were another custom map, I wouldn't have loved it? no. It just happened to catch my eye, and it's what made me a regular.

Convoy is one of my favorite maps. It never really gets any love during the events either, and I would love to see it on the servers! Also that HL2 strider map...

i am in the same boat you are Dread...my first map on an eGO server, and i fell in love...the map, the clan..everything that we stand for...i would love to see it back, if even for a short period of time if it doesn't take off and stay afloat enough to keep it around...

I'm personally holding out hope for the giant robot map though, because we don't run any TC maps other than Hydro on Valve maps server.
