This thread just shows how much our perceptions can alter the reality of things.

While I know the BAR is inferior to the STG due to its longer reload time and smaller clip, I prefer it because of that deep thud it makes.

people who like the kar over the garand dont know how to use the garand. you cant use them the same. Shane is right about the thompson and the mp40, both are identical. the stg is better than the bar just because of the ammo capacity. the snipers are the identical except for the models. the german scope appears less accurate because it doesnt have an X that says "target is here" on it. overall both sides are pretty even as far as weapons. advantages for one team or another depends on the map. ava is axis sided where donner is more allies sided.

That's true, the scopes look a little difference, but that will ultimately come down to preference. In all the attributes that matter (CoF, accuracy, etc...) they're the same.

Yeah, I wish the stg44 had a better native sound, but oh well.

I also find the bar to be much easier to control than the stg44. Which one I'd rather use depends on the map and situation though. The bar is much easier for me to use at longer distances, like the sewers in kalt, but if I'm heading apartments on ava, I'm packing my stg44. larger clip size=less reloading, and you need that in the cramped apartments.

idk the only one i disagree with is the rifle class. i prefer the kar98 over the m1 garand any day

I LOVE THE GERMAN SNIPER AND THE MP44
STILL TRYING TO MASTER THE BAR CAUS IT DOES SO MUCH DAMAGE, BUT THE RECOIL IS HARDER TO CONTROL.

ya like i said, the kar is for experienced players who can aim well. and the sniper scope is very important.

Gotta love the sound of the BAR, especially with a 188watt subwoofer. The BAR POUNDS, the STG kinda tears... imo.
