free programs that are abasicly flash

i have been mucking around with flash at skl when i have some time and i was wondering if there is a free program that is essentially flash but well free because i dnt rly want to pay for it?
any ideas?

I have several suggestions for you to consider. None of these are full 1 to 1 replacements for the entire Adobe Flash suite, but they offer a component by component replacement.

1. Adobe Flex 3. This is programming language driven (AS3), not GUI. Of course, they want you to try the GUI programming environment and then eventually buy it.

2. AJAX Animator For the Flash generator component of the Adobe suite. Don't forget to review the entire site is dedicated to flash alternatives. (http://osflash.org)

3. Flash for Linux.

4. Bluefish This is more of an entire suite which, in part, does some flash. Not familiar with it, but I know some people who are happy with it.

5. JZox which replaces JGenerator
