snipers that move have a bigger chance of dying, after 1-2 shots they are found and shot. so moving is the key

Wouldn't succeed. We have attempted an Orange server, a GunGame server (both more popular than sniper-only), as well as attempting even additional stock maps, and none of those servers have been successful.

DoD is a dying game, and without people committed to working on getting a new server active, it will be impossible to start anything.. especially something as specific as a sniper-server. It's simply not logical at this point in DoD's life cycle.

I agree fully to that, What is in store for DOD? anyone have an idea ?

i would like to see full map cycle (official maps) server(s) with FriendlyFire on. That would make it more teamwork based gaming i think, and maybe some restrictions that only e+ tags would be able to join or something, dunno if thats even possible but

even though this sounds cool, we should fill up all our other servers first (namely avalanche and flash)

and honestly, i dont like the idea of an all sniper server. whats the point? I think its a waste of our money.

When I play on strand as sniper, I usually stand in the left bunker and pick off as many players as possible. I usually try to hit other snipers and MG`ers. I think my record is 40 kills or so without dying. I remember reading in the "admins see all" that players wrote with caps lock "SOMEONE GET THAT SNIPER! HE HAS KILLED OUR ENTIRE TEAM LIKE 3 TIMES IN A ROW!". Made me smile Of course, their snipers didn`t really do a good job. One of them kept rushing the middle with his colt. Didn`t really turn out succesful. Other maps than strand, I change position as sniper.

I really like sniper only servers, but I can see an EGO one isn't going to happen. I wish Blackrain was still up, they had a 24/7 orange sniper server without any of the stupid mods you find on most all sniper servers. Also, to the people who say all sniper would be boring, have you ever played one? It's not just camping on Donner or something with a rifle, it's manuvering around on specially designed maps, trying to outsmart and flush out your opponent for that perfect headshot. Also, you don't have to play it. There are a lot of people who do like it.

I personally cannot play Dod, however hard I try. my kill to death ratio is usually along the lines of 1:7 . On a sniper only server it would be even worse! Its a Good Idea but if it did happen... I'd stay clear.

I would hate to see DOD die, but its inevitable with all games, however I think they could do some things to make it different. Like creating forward spawns, for instance in Kalt you could have ammo boxes in the sniper houses so whoever has control of them could reload on ammo, especially grenades. Maybe have a time limit so someone cant sit in the spawn and just keep loading up on nades, but atleast give people a chance to stock back up after overtaking the bridge.

eh I can't let that happen, that would just breed too many good snipers. I'm already having a headache with the new snipers getting too good. =)
