I think putting Ban in a motto, at least to me, would turn people away, as it sounds like you are just ban happy, so i would just keep Punk Free Gaming

Punk free gaming has been a reliable and loved motto for awihle and represents us much more than "brining down the banhammer".
We take pride in having competant, capable individuals who are not machines, able to handle situations; not taking pride in being able to ban people.

What happened to it being a MATURE gaming community - with a slogan like "Dropping the Ban Hammer" that is kind of contradictory.

Maybe the slogan from Napoleon Dynamite (with slight adjustment) - "Vote for eGO and all your wildest dreams will come true." Lol, but seriously there shouldn't be ban in the slogan like many other ppl have noted.

"Dropping the Ban Hammer" does sound cool. But in my opinion its a little bit to negative. It sound like, on our server there is a risk of abuse from the admin. On the other hand, "Punk Free Gaming" is more appealing and state exactly what we want.

Well, for a serious thing I'd say Punk Free Gaming, but to just joke around or w/e I'd say Dropping the ban hammer

I think Dropping the ban hammer and Punk Free Gaming are both a good choice.:D

I suppose, but the Ban-Hammer sounds a little more fun to me. It's kinda whimsical.

i prefer 'punk free gaming' myself. i'm still pretty new to the ego community, but from what i know, it's not all about banning people. the use of the word 'ban' just has a negative connotation, and i don't think that's the right message to be sending out.

'punk free gaming' is a little more playful, but it shows that we do mean business when the occasion calls for it. insofar as what i've seen, it's a better fit for ego. :D

Only problem is the person who made the poll didn't think about that. People don't see it's for the eGO slogan so they pick the one they are most comfortable with and sounds the funniest.
