Hey guys,

I've been playing a lot of video games, and suffice it to say that my old mouse, is starting to die on me. So, I figured I would look for something a little sleeker and better for gaming. Can anyone give me an idea or two on where to look? I've been checking out Razer mice, but idk if I feel like spending 60 bucks on a deathadder mouse.

i would suggest either low-end Razer mice, or mid-range Logitech, they're both great brands, and even their cheap mice are amazing! i myself am using a random Logitech laptop mouse, nothing exceptional about it, and yet i can easily snipe and do everything while gaming!

Logitech G5 and G7 are good also
G7 is wireless come with 2 rechargeable batteries.
G5 is not wireless but its cord is an anaconda (like 5 meters long.)

personally I love the deathadder but if that's too expensive there are other options out there. if you use a palm type grip (lay your entire hand over the mouse) the logitech MX518 is a great choice, or the G5 if you'd rather spend a little bit more. same shape, the only main difference is the sensor and adjustable weights. if you tend to control the mouse more with the tips of your fingers, the razer krait or razer salmosa would be good choices. the only downside to those is that they only have 3 buttons each, the diamondback is the same as the krait but with more buttons and for a higher price.

Razer Lachesis or Razer Mamba if those are too expensive (which they are:D), then i recommend you Verbatim Rapier V2 or Logitech G5

i bought the Razer Deathadder a couple months ago best money i ever spent on a mouse

Just buy a normal one, i dont see whats the point in spending so much money on a ?50 mouse when a ?2 one can do exactly the same thing.

i dunno. i bought a G5 just because i was bored and i love it lol

I'm going to talk to my friend and see if I can borrow his deathadder for a day, and see how it feels.

I'm actually in the same predicament as you are. personally, I thought about getting a saitek, razer or one of those brands. After having used them though, I can honestly say I'm going to just buy a new basic microsoft one tomorow, it didn't help my game at all to have 4ish extra buttons hanging around.

but that's just my two cents

hope I helped

I have the G5 and am very happy with it. You can customize the amout of weight you want in it and it just plain works GREAT.

My mouse has a terrible name, but it's by far my favorite in about 15 years of gaming:

Cyber Snipa Stinger. Programmable, multiple DPI settings (on the fly), shaped like a logitech mx1000 but weighs far, far less. 7 removable 20g weights in the base. Two programmable thumb buttons with 3 on the fly profile switches. Can program the scroll wheel and wheel press as well I believe, but I've never messed with that.

all for about $40 if you shop around.

my only gripe so far is that I occasionally get some GSM related interference if I keep my phone within about a foot and a half of the mouse. Other than that, it's phenomenal.
