Hey just wondering if anyone plays this game, saw it listed for 15$ on steam, wondering if its even worth it, the screenies do look cool.

this game is pretty sweet...though i havent played it since the free weekend when it first came out. Its way more realistic if you like that sorta thing youll love R.o

Decent game, someone gave me a trial pass once. Wasn't my cup of tea, and there weren't many servers, but if you like realism, it's pretty good.

I thought it would be good too..But I have played the trial and it was not my kind of game. It has a steep learning curve, you need a lot of patience just to play. Iron sights do not zoom (even though they are not supposed to) and it is pretty difficult getting a frag on that game. During my free guest pass, I've died a lot more than I ever could kill..

There is no HUD. With the exception of your health (bodyparts being shaded yellow for being damaged moderately and red for high damage). You have to memorize how many rounds are left in your magazine, just like in real life. However, you will somehow miraculously heal your wounds over a long period of time, similar to the Call of Duty series.

It's pretty hard to keep track of your remaining ammunition in your magazine, especially for full-auto SMGs/StG 44. However, it's easier using a bolt action rifle such as the Kar98K, which uses a 5 round stripper clip.

If you enjoy lots of fast paced action, you do not want to even consider buying this. This game is geared towards those who are patient (ie. camping a lot) and those who want a technical [realistic] experience. If you are that kind of person, this game's for you.

The tank battles are incredible fun when you and a friend communicate well and are in the same tanks, otherwise its alright, almost a simulation.

Red Orchestra is the best WWII fps out there...bar none the most realistic and the best! Everthing from realistic infantry combat to tanks.....simply the best. There are a few mods that make it a even better purchase. Just got acheivements available today...which is ok, but the game itself has rocked for so long already. Really recommend it, especially for EGO members that play DOD.
