Motherboard PCI Slot

I have a MSI P6N Diamond Motherboard back from 2007, my question is does PCI Express VS PCI Express 2.0 Offer that much more performance that i should look into a new motherboard? Thanks eGO's!

Uhhh, no. There's no difference (performance wise) at this point in time.

PCI x16 2.0 has more bandwidth then PCI x16... PCI x16 is like a PCI 8x 2.0

There's no difference unless your Card needs that much bandwidth (ex. 4870x2, GTX285, GTX295 are the only cards that use a full x16 2.0)

Appriciate the answers guys! Went with a GTX 260 216 Core so not quite powerful enough to use it. Maybe down the road!
