Just for the record, typing a forbidden word into chat is one of the quickest ways to get you into trouble. It shows a willful violation of our rules. When you type it you have to stop and think about what you are doing.
I must admit that even I have slipped on voice chat before. But it only happened once and my House Leader let me know about it in about seventeen different kinds of anger. That being said, anyone who continually slips up in voice chat will hear about from their fellow e's, the eG's, the eGO's and if necessary, the Council.

my advice is use your discretion when it comes to e's and their swearing. I find myself a little more tolerant to e's in this department, especially if they are new.
Lets face it, no one is perfect. Once in a while someone can slip up and i can understand that. If they apologize and notice that they slipped, then i say ok please pay attention. If they are cursing at another player, i auto ban them for atleast a day.
Im not perfect either. When i was new to ego and was an e, i slipped up here and there. Im human. But when i did slip up, i immedietely realized what i did and apologized for it. I can only return the same curtesy to other e's. But never once did i disrepect another player.

Well it's better to notify everyone (this thread) rather then "let it slip with a warning." Every e shouldn't swear and say "oh I'm sorry it slipped" over again and again. But I learned that just to kick the e if they keep it up.
I have to admit its when people get angry that they seem to swear on chat. When I get angry I tend to hit things. Maybe y'all sweary folk should try that

i totally agree as well (even tho it prob dosent matter cuz im the low man on the totem pole) but there was an issue with an =(e)= memeber in tf2 server the other night,he was being rude and just a complete tool.The eg's took quick care of that! :thumbup1:

With e's, I typically warn once. They do it again, they get kicked. Come back and do it again or get mad at me for doing it (which happens quite often), I perma ban. No excuses. They read the rules, they agreed to follow them.

Did anyone ever think of making it A LOT more visible to e's when/before they join and it would be easier on admins to not have to kick or ban them?

Its plain and simple you put that =(e)= on you dont swear ever! It posted everywhere! Especially as a part of this community! I dont disagree with being harsher with e's they have read the rules and know them! Its really not that hard not to cuss over mic, its really simple actually dont push your mic button!! I can curse like a sailor sometimes but you will never hear me say anything! Typing it you do have to stop and put some thought into what you wanna type. All in all e's should be treated with special guidelines on the fact they have read all the rules and pubs havent.

e's don't get a warning for breaking the rules.
tbh, if you look around on the servers you can plainly see the notices from admins
lets face it, one is on most of the time. I'll admit that when they are not on (like in 10.am GMT) it becomes more difficult to enforce. But in terms of (e) thats when it's their responsibility to uphold these rules.

Knight, I do not believe a lot of room for errors should be left. You being and e shouldn't argue for it, but know not to swear. I am going to be a lot more strict towards it, now that I've learned that I should.

No they dont if they swear. If they swear and they are an e, they get an instant kick with no warning.
I mean absolutely no disrespect here UP.....but I don't think you should have to do this. If someone skips over the rules, they have no one to blame but themselves. Do you sign a contract without reading the fine print? Take a job without knowing the duties involved?
eGO is a respectable place. I was shown nothing less as a public visitor on the forums and servers prior to my application. It is my personal opinion that people who join, don't read the rules and are shown the door are not the quality kind of people that I am getting to know here.

Anyone who has an =(eGO)= tag on and swears in game chat is literally slapping eGO in the face, and most of what it stands for. If you are in the clan, you know the rules and are expected to follow them. I understand the very rare occasion of mic cursing, sure you might have "accidentally" hit your mic button. Look in the top left of your screen and you will see all you need to know.
