Trying to understand

I guess I don't understand the curtness of the replies to my posts. Was called a young laddy in my locked post on hax or what. Patronizing to say the least. I was under the impression the eg's and ago's were here to help. I have not played dod s long but have dod and I ain't no pup. So image my frustration of being talked down to.

I searched the site for dod glitches and there were 199 threads. Not one of them discussed the glitch I discussed. Supposeadly there is an admin page with a list of gliches but I can't access cuz I'm wet behind the ears. Not mention the fact that anyone that uses the glitches are suppose to be kicked and have not been according to ego policy.

I really like the servers and the maturity of the players. But I really hesitate to post anything and if it happens again I will take my compter and go home.

The crawling glitch is caused by your computer and it is only you that sees the player crawling. Record a demo and stop it and it will fix it. That glitch cannot be admined as it is client side and does not affect the server. SO open console and type record 1 and enter then type stop and enter.

Again, it may seem the player is hacking or is on the other side of the map to you, but they are not, it is just the game is not giving you good information. Recording a demo fixes that. I have not gotten that one in a long time.


We tend to let others know of glitches. Some glitches we enforce, most of them. There are certain criteria for a glitch to be enforce depending on what it is.

Glitches fall under the warn, kick, ban rule. Some can go straight to kick and ban, but depends.

And we welcome everyone, but taking your computer and going home does nothing and anyone can leave when they want to. There is no need to get agitated about anything, just relax and some one can help you. The young lady comment may come off bad or not. People play from all kinds of cultures and places where that might be fine. Weapon did not mean anything by it.

Put a couple of ego's on your friends list and if need be you can call on one to help you.
Persevere with the game and us and you will find that it is great being with EGO and how helpful we are. As for not being a pup I can give you a few years and I can honestly say no member of EGO has ever commented on my age, so play and enjoy the game, see you in game.

I have not gotten that one in a long time.

It's also called to ALT-TAB bug, it's not really a glitch since glitches tend to "help" people to get easy kills for instance. A bug is therefor a better name for these kind of client side problems.

It's caused by Alt-tabbing out (or pressing windowsbutton) while connected to a server in DoD. If you've gotten back and forth between game and windows it's always usefull to record a demo and stop. This makes it almost impossible for you to get this bug.

I don't bring it to the board unless it is important. When I mention something on the mic about a player and two or three other people say the same thing I will bring it up. So, if I have the experience and three other players chime in about the offending player doing the same and we all say the player is in the same spot, shouldn't that be a concern? What are the odds three other players and myself have the same glitch at the same time with the same player in the same spot?

I have been on server when 5 people tell me that I am crawl hacking, but I am sure I am not, so it can happen

do record demo as posted above and you should be good to go, we are all here to offer help, so no need for you to feel like your being talked down to

Alias, that may be the case. I run the game with -windowed -noborder now so it makes tabbing out as if it is any other program, like a browser for example.
