Mouse sensitivity?

What is the rule of thumb for mouse sensitivity? You should be able to turn 180 degrees or something like that? I had mine set at 10.0 which was a bit high because I had the full range of motion without needing to move more than an inch or two.

Most people would recommend opposite but it obviously works for you

Mines at like 12, for all its worth.

i like my mouse sensitivity at 3.5, i found it to be the best for me.but my friends play at like at 1 and i dont know how they play.

Got to try these out. Trying to game with a mouse for the first time and its weird. Been using a laptop touch pad for so long. Settings where maxed and still seem slow.

Yeah, if you have a laptop and you use the touch pad, which i did.

Then the sensitivity is -500

it literally does not matter what your mouse sensitivity is, as long as you get used to it...if you're not getting used to it, you think its too high or too low then change it and adjust it until you're used to it
mine is at 7.5. seaNNN would think that too be too high, but it isn't...for me..because im used to it.
its all personal preference

Seriously? My Sensitivity is set at 16.0, and its a little low. I mean its nice cause i can move pretty easily without having to have a lot of motion on the mouse.

its based on if your looking straight ahead and move your mouse hand to the left or right it turns 90 degrees. This helping with someone coming upon you quickly from the sides. It also depends on your mouse options, launch options you use for the game can also help with the mouse. Windows also has its own mouse sens that will affect your in game.

well it actually depeneds on what kind of mouse you have. i have a logitech G5 and that mouse has levels where you can adjust the sensitivity. What i wud suggest is getting the Momba good mouse for css. But i play with 15

Obviously it depends on the mouse and the Windows settings, but mine's... 5.7, I think (halfway between 2 of the lines, I know).

I should really look into experimenting more, though.

Well that's sort of true, but a lower sensitivity will give you better accuracy, hands down. Think of it like power steering on a car. If you have really high power steering then turning your wheel one inch makes you do a 90 degree turn. If you have really low power steering you might have to turn the wheel really far to make a 90 degree turn. All other things being equal, its easier to turn at a 45 degree angle by turning the wheel halfway than turning it half an inch.
