Mouse sensitivity?

i had mine at the default settings for ages when i first got the game but not that long ago i turned the sensetivity down a tiny little bit and i find it perfect now, with the sensitivity too high i think its a little hard to aim because you have to have the mouse very still and steady.

I have a small mouse surface, that's the main reason I keep mine between 5 and 8 (that's what I've been finding works well, anyway)

2.5 with windows sens cranked down prettttty low using a logitech mx 510 mouse with that mousefix registry thing on my machine. Not sure if it applies to source like it did to 1.6 though.

4.6 here..........just to let u know always turn off the mouse filter setting in CS:SOURCE and the mouse filter option in the windows settings. It helps aiming after you get used to it. It feels much different like slower but it suppossedly helps you aim more precisely once you get used to it.

Well that's sort of true, but a lower sensitivity will give you better accuracy, hands down. Think of it like power steering on a car. If you have really high power steering then turning your wheel one inch makes you do a 90 degree turn. If you have really low power steering you might have to turn the wheel really far to make a 90 degree turn. All other things being equal, its easier to turn at a 45 degree angle by turning the wheel halfway than turning it half an inch.

i completely disagree...it isn't like having a high sensitivity makes your mouse movement glitchy and having a low sens makes it smooth. the movement is the same other than the speed....hence the GETTING USED TO IT comment. meaning it might not be easy to move 3x as much with the same mouse movement, but once you're used to it, you can do it no problem and be accurate with it.

it literally does not matter what your mouse sensitivity is, as long as you get used to it...if you're not getting used to it, you think its too high or too low then change it and adjust it until you're used to it
mine is at 7.5. seaNNN would think that too be too high, but it isn't...for me..because im used to it.
its all personal preference

test it out to see what is most comfortable for you if you think its too high tone it down a bit if you think its to low the raise it thats what i did

Mine's at 1.5 with a logitech LX5 wireless mouse, thinking of buying a G9x soon. You guys should tell us what kind of mouse you have along with the sensitivity so that people can get the general idea of what sensitivity goes with what kind of mouse.

I generally use 4.0 for general cs playing but if i were surfing then i would use a much higher sensitivity such as 10

I put mine on full sensitivity. Every time I went on, I increased my sensitivity by .4. Now it's full sensitivity and killing has never been easier! I've even started upping my mouse sensitivity with the m5 to keep getting even more sensitive.

I got my g9x and guess what my sensitivity is now? Chicken butt.
Okay just kidding, it's at 1.5 with the DPI right below 5000. Probably around 3000ish.
