has anyone seen anything for these? and if so links please ^.^

I thought DirectX 11 was a myth. It's not supported, it hasn't been used in any games/software, and it's no different from 10.

(all of the benchmarking, or spec-software-things I've used say DX10)

its true and its veeery different from DX10
how i know?search youtube for AMD demonstrating DX11

and most probably DX11 will be coming out with or after windows 7 release

they will be out soon and are coming to be known as the ATI 5 series cards. They are suppossed to have an increase in performance of about 20-40% over the fastest card i believe but im not completely sure on the performance increase.
There is suppossed to be a hugeeee increase in stream processors once again and i am going to guess the clock speeds of everything will be alot faster considering its going to be on a 40nm process or 45 and the 4890 clock speeds reach 1000mhz core, i expect the clock speeds of the new 5 series to be maybe 950 core standard and up.

DirectX 11 isn't out yet, so no cards supporting D11 are out yet either.

Unfortunately, a game that was supposed to be released now, DIRT 2, is being pushed back so they can implement all the DX11 goodies in it.

DIRT 2 is still being released on time for the PS3 and the 360 :(

i wouldnt be getting dirt 2 for the PC anyway. I feel that racing games and sports games are best to be played on a console anyway but thats my personal preference. For the PC i obv only play FPS and MMO and those types, strategy and such. The ones that work best for the PC. Though i occasionally buy FPS for the console but only the good ones and exclusive ones for PS3 like killzone 2 and resistance 2.

I CANT WAIT TILL GRAN TURISMO 5 zzzzz want to play it so badly now.

Did you guys hear about the whole thing with Forza 3 coming out on PS3??? i walked into gamestop a while ago and i see this huge AD cardboard thing saying like, pre-order Forza 3 for playstation 3. I was like :confused1:
I go home and looked it up and seemed to be a lot of other ppl were posting about the gamestop ad. I hope it does because then PS3 gets both of the racing games, forza and gran turismo.

the versions of windows 7 that are out both the beta versions and hacked version of the release both have direct x11. And as said above dirt 2 looks like the first game to be released using it.

He was talking about the video cards, like the ATI 5 series which will support dx11

Also, I have a retail version of Windows 7. Not hacked, or leaked. MSDN users get them early.

yea, do you have any links for it?

nope, there are none that are reliable atleast. Everything is just rumors still though they should be released soon. There is a video on DX11 and how it works and such.

Edit: I take that back, after doing a little research, it seems they have FINALLY RELEASED INFORMATION ON THE 5 SERIES AWESOMENESS

IT SEEMS THEY ARE COMING OUT VERY SOON, AS SOON AS SEPTEMBER 10

Another amazing source (even more info) - http://vr-zone.com/articles/-rumour-ati-dx11-evergreen-cards-sum-up--pics--info/7472.html?doc=7472
This site also has pictures of the cards and heatsinks, takes a while to load as they are on a chinese website.

To sum it all up. It seems the codename is Cypress for the 5870/5850. These things will be priced at $299 and $250 which is a complete bummer, hopefully they drop in price by christmas. THEY WILL BE PACKING A MASSIVE 1600 stream processors. And will be on a 40nm process which is unexpected considering this was known months ago. Im going to guess the clock speeds and temps will also be amazing due to the 40nm process and the fact that the 4890 is capable of achieving 1000mhz core on a larger nm process.

Read everything, there is so much i can't talk about like the upcoming 5870x2 and such because im tired of typing :P The pictures look very promising though, I will be picking up the 5870x2 hopefully when it comes out. Maybe around christmas as a present :)
