When looking to see if my claim for Brandon Oliver was accepted (grrrr) I noticed a trade proposal that between Beef and Flux that seems lopsided. Do trades need to be approved by the Commissioner? Do other teams get to vote for or against approval? In any event I would like you to take a look at it.
For our league the commish (i.e. me) approves/rejects all trades. I will approve all trades as long as there is no collusion (e.g. trading players to cover a bye week, and then trading the same players back to the same team again).
The reason why we do not use a 'voting to veto' option is because trades can always be very judgmental -- too many times have I seen fair trades vetoed by other teams in the league just because they 'feel' that one team is getting shortchanged (or even just to thwart a rival team), leaving everyone (especially both of the trading teams) unhappy, and the end result is that very little trading gets done because people think to themselves why even bother if it's just going to get vetoed.
IMO, if you are able to swing a great trade for yourself through your powers of persuasion and/or negotiation, that is a big part of what makes fantasy football fun. Plus we shouldn't need to be protecting team owners from themselves.
Having said all that, I personally think the trade that BeeF and Flux made is pretty equitable.
Each of the 4 players involved in the trade have their upsides and downsides, and that's not even considering if any real NFL team homerism is in play. I know which side of the trade I would rather be on, but again that's based on my personal biases as well as my own team positional needs.
If there is anything for me to be upset about, it's the fact that Flux stole Sanu from right under my nose. I was literally about to pick him up when I noticed that he was no longer a free agent. Thanks, Calvin. Sigh....

Bravo league
- Looking to break out of his 0-4 funk, Terror should be proud of his team as they scored the 2nd highest points (157.70) in the Alpha league this week, and that's with not even fielding a starting TE for some reason. Unfortunately, he happened to be matched up against he-of-the-Peyton-man-love infamy, Qtip, who scored the highest points (165.65) this week. Oh these cheeky FF Gods sometimes making you wonder, what more can you do to secure that 'W'?
- Speaking of breaking out of 0-4 funks, almost all of the players on our resident hairy fruit's (Kiwi) team absolutely broke out in a big way to score195.85 points and crushed Dangle who himself posted a very respectable 145.35, in an inter-divisional matchup no less.

P.S. By homerism are you referring to the author of the Illiad and the Odyssey?
Didn't know people actually did that...This is about change, obviously something isnt working for me and I guess Flux feels the same.

One of the perks of being near the bottom of the league rankings is getting a higher-priority waiver position...but have you seen the sad state of my RB corp? Heck, anytime anyone needs a good laugh or a pick-me-up after a rough day at work, just go ahead and take a look at my RBs.
Yeah the bye week trade-back thing is just one common example of collusion, bt I'm certainly not insinuating you and Flux are in cahoots.
The other common one I've seen is when a team with no hope to make the playoffs gives all his stud players to his buddy/brother/dad whose team is very much in contention.
That's funny...I normally see the opposite. In my family league, there's usually a long-term rivalry between husband and wife, and between brothers, sisters & the like. And this is in a league with money on the line!
Then again, the league is 75% family members...any collusion is likely to set off a multi-year feud.
