Whats up with TF2 division..

I'm way busy with school. Seeding all night overheats my computer and it does crash.

Recently I usually try to be on, just to deal with the admin issues when they arise.

That's a good point. If admins had the ability to activate a vote scramble, people driven away by uneven teams would stay on the occasion that everybody agrees the teams are so uneven it's not fun. Games are about having fun, and being owned is not fun.

Friday evenings through Monday morning is my free time window where I can not feel guilty about slacking off.

Then there are the random nights where I can't sleep and I may get on at 2:00am central (because in my mind 4 hours of sleep or less isn't worth it).

I do seem to see far less eGO members on our servers these days.

We gotta get on those servers!

Also I would like to point out the severe lack of eGo representation on any server other than black mesa. I understand the clan's cult following of the map, but apart from some devoted eGs and eGos most of the clan members are concentrated in 1-2 of our severs, that doesn't make it feel like a clan at all. When PL and Dustbowl are dominated by pubs and other clans and there are no eGos and eGs that play it that leads me to point 2.

The HLstats loss was big, lots of good pub clans like NLS don't play with us anymore. I don't know about you but I am the type of player who will join the server when I see that other good players are also playing because I want to be challenged.

So lets recap:

- People are busy seeding and not actually playing
- 2fort should be limited to one server, it's not a good map, not 2 servers good.
- IP changes may have a limited effect
- lag is an issue - just played PL, most everyone was mad lagging
- The new HLstats is pissing people off
- Many good players left because of it, many pubs don't play here anymore
- As a result players who want a more competitive environment also left
- fall semester in college is at full swing

Yeah, I think the new HLStats was the biggest factor, imo.

Ever since it happened, I've been seeing less action on 2Fort and seeing it go down quicker than normal.

And the IP changes don't help.

I still see regulars on the 2Fort server like ANDSlayers and LaserShark, but we no longer have some of the really popular guys like Dallas or Coupon King/Queen coming on anymore. When those guys came on, the servers really got going.

Yeah I think we should keep the two 2forts, we just dropped one (the better one in my opinion) and still seem to be able to keep the other two pretty busy.

I think the problem stems from a lack of participation in ventrilo. VENT used to be full. Now you are lucky to find three or four TF2ers inside. No communication = abysmal seeding run turn outs. :-(

ya im at work all day so when i come home im all tired and sore so i usaully play for about an hour a day on weekdays and kill it on the weekends plus i play css aswell and that battles for my time lol

I still see some people in some of the TF2 channels. And I'm trying to spend more time in the Gravel Pit channel when I'm not doing school stuff. But most TF2'ers use the general rooms.

well lets see. I have school, my friends who I normally play with are in college and are rarely play so its not as fun, and I found CoD4. I like tf2 better, but Call of duty has the new toy feeling. I'll be back in soon enough.
